Q.2}Advantages of a Distance Learning Program? Ans. The program is for 2 years; however we give this facility to our students wherein they can finish the program any time between 12 months to 2-years. Generally when you go for a regular MBA with 16-24 subjects the course structure is basically divided in 3 major parts. In the first part i.e.1st Year, you get to revise the graduation studies and the basics of MBA. In the second part i.e. 2nd Year 1st half, you get to learn your 1st specialization and in the 3rd part, they cover your second specialization. This particular program that we offer is a single specialization MBA with 5 other subjects. So in a way what we are offering you is the 2nd year 2nd half of any regular MBA program because you already know the first 2 parts through your experience.

Q.6} I am a working executive. Can I pursue the MBA Program? Ans. Yes, the MBA Program can be pursued on a self-study basis. You can do self-study in your free time, and sit for the examinations and complete the program. It is designed completely in a flexible manner to suit the needs of the working executives. Q.7}What are the placement prospects for the MBA graduates? Ans. Acquiring the MBA qualification will give a sustainable competitive advantage for candidates who are interested in career opportunities with progressive employers. Q.9}Is the study material supplied by the institute? Ans. The study material is supplied by the institute without any additional cost, subject to the receipt of fees as per the payment schedule. Q.10} How do students receive their study material? Do they have to pay extra charges other then the fees paid? Ans. Study Material is dispatched to the student within 25 working days from the date of admission at the correspondence address mentioned in the application form. No extra charges are payable by the student. Q.11}What if I fail in any of the subject? Ans. In such a case, you have to give re-exam for the subject in which you have failed. Re-examination fees ` 500/- per subject is required to be paid. Q.12} How relevant will the course be, for the real business world? Ans. Case Study Focus Management case studies describes the situations faced by practicing managers in a narrative form, and also provides the supporting information necessary to involve students in the decision-making process. These case studies encourage students to think of the possible ways of handling such issues, and help them learn the complexities of decision-making in business and the challenges that managers face every day at work. Almost all the courses in the ISMS program are designed around the case method. A few courses are even taught entirely through case studies, with cases tailor-made to the requirements of the subject areas. Student evaluation is based on individual team presentations, written reports and class participation. A case study is one of the several ways of doing research whether it be management related or even socially related. Other ways include experiments, views, decision making and analysis of information. Admission Procedure Admission Procedure o Applicants should duly fill the Application form, attached along with this information brochure or from website also. o Attested Photocopies of latest Mark-sheets / Certificate & latest C.V. o Work Experience certificate / Appointment letter as per course requirement o Address Proof & Photo ID Proof. o Three Latest Passport size Photographs. Important Note : o Fees can be paid by Online transfer / Cheque / DD should be payable in favour of “Indian School of Management & Studies” payable at Mumbai. o Incase a cheque gets bounced then the student is liable to pay Rs. 800/- towards cheque bounced charges for continuing the course. o Fees are subject to to revision at anytime on discretion of ISMS. o Course & specialization once selected will not be changed under any circumstances. You can change the course only on the duty of admission till the working hours. o Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance. o Jurisdiction Mumbai Only. Exam Options EXAMINATIONS:There are three modes of examinations. Students are required to opt for any one. 1) Center Examination: The examination would be of three hour and the question paper would be totally based on the subjective & Objective pattern. Examinations are also held at the authorized ISMS's examination centers throughout India subject to the availability of sufficient number of examinees at the given place. 2) Open Book Case Study Examination: Institute has provision for Case Study based postal term end examination also. Under this scheme, Practical Case Study assignments are sent to the student (under confidential cover) as per term end examination schedule given in the admission letter. These are to be completed/answered and the response-sheets returned to the Institute within 12 days of the receipt. Students are advised to dispatch the response sheets to the Institute by registered post/courier to ensure their timely receipt. 3) Email Examination: This will be similar to open book examination. Question will be sent in the form e-mail attachment. Upon receipt of the e-mailed question paper, student needs to prepare answer’s in own hand writing & submit the original papers to exam dep-artment through courier/speed -post within 12 days of the receipt.
