Attendees must wear a badge to gain access to all ISTAT events. Your badge gives you access to all breakfasts, sessions, breaks, lunches, receptions and the President’s Gala Dinner. Spouse/Guest Registration

Attendees may make last-minute spouse/guest registrations during the conference. The $350 fee includes access to evening receptions, Monday spouse/guest brunch and the President’s Gala Dinner. Spouse/guest registration does not include access to sessions, breakfasts and lunches. Badges are required to attend events.

ISTAT AWARD WINNER ISTAT has selected Pete Seidlitz, president of Bristol Associates, Inc., as the recipient of the 2014 ISTAT Award. The ISTAT Award is the most distinguished honor in the aviation industry and was created in 2001 by the association to recognize individuals who have made lasting contributions to the industry over a significant period of time. Pete Seidlitz has been a longstanding ISTAT member, and he was the founding Chairman of the ISTAT Foundation. Seidlitz began his career in the real estate business and was involved with a leasing company in San Francisco. He was hired by Itel Corporation out of Chicago where he was heavily involved in leasing transportation equipment – railroad cars, container ships and airplanes. His role morphed from financing transportation equipment to buying residuals in transportation equipment and grew into a focus on airplanes. After Itel went bankrupt in the early ‘80s and the birth of his first daughter, Seidlitz decided to start his own venture, Bristol Associates, Inc. Seidlitz believes that ISTAT is a great forum for various parties of interest in aviation aircraft trading and leasing. He says that early ISTAT conferences were held because nobody else in the industry would speak with used aircraft lessors, and the conferences provided an opportunity for the participants to communicate with each other. Seidlitz is confident the used aircraft market will continue to change and that new strategies and adaptation are key to future successes.
