Vision

ACT believes that the MRO industry has emerged into the new generation aircrafts structures containing more composite materials than ever before. Composites repairs are complex and specific processes that require expert technicians, which are scarce today. Our vision of a successful vendor-customer relationship is for ACT to anticipate the airlines’ needs and ensure that those needs are met in a “just-in-time” fashion, with the highest quality and competitive price. Our seasoned management is committed to a successful relationship with our customers and delivers the quality product, others in the industry have come to expect from us. We believe that to achieve the desired quality, we must maintain a highly qualified and motivated workforce.

1.5

Experience

ACT’s vast experience in composite repair/overhaul, comes from our highly skilled technicians and senior management team (with more than 25 years of experience within the aviation industry). ACT’s reputation for great quality represents the pride and concept that the company implements on a daily basis. The majority of our employees have previously worked in the airlines, understanding the everyday needs and flexibility required to maintain the airlines’ fleet. Our competitive pricing is based on our lower overhead, allowing the customer to get a superior product at a controlled price.

2.2

Production Control/Planning

ACT has created a matrix for on-time performance for its top ten item’s produced. We have created a Gant Chart for the time line of production and we monitor progress on a daily basis to ensure proper adherence to ETC (Estimated Time of Completion). Production Control is driven by Customer Commitments (release dates) and discussed every morning at a 7:00 a.m. during the Customer Service/Production Meeting. Release dates are reviewed and all departments are directed towards the same daily goals on commitments made. Customer feedback/status reports are generated as needed.

2.3

Sub-Contract/Repair Processes

We sub-contract all CAD Plating & Accessory repair work. All sub-contractors used are FAA 145 approved shops and audited by our Director of Quality Assurance on a yearly basis. Average turn-times are very competitive and costs are equal to ACT’s shop rates and calculated in repair quotes.

2.4

Quality

ACT is an FAA (ICNR513X) & EASA certified repair station. We are ISO 9001:2000 certified and are members of CASE and ARSA and adhere to CASE 1A quality standards. The CASE standard provides a benchmark to assure that all audits and reports are comparable in scope and depth. All units are received by inbound inspection where the unit is assigned a work order number and digital pictures are taken of the unit. The unit can be tracked at any point in the process and is inspected various times throughout the repair/overhaul process. Once final inspection has been completed (completed) pictures are taken & kept in the work order package.

Disaster Recovery/Work Stoppage Plan

ACT’s Senior Management has a detailed Disaster Recovery Plan specifying areas of responsibility. If any equipment should fail, we have duplicate equipment of all major equipment required to maintain the workflow and not allow any stoppage (including a backup gas powered Generator, compressors & propane Heating Oven). Our server is duplicated in real time at our IT provider’s home office. We maintain a full months tape back up of all our records and we have a back-up server on premises. All such measures were created to ensure “zero production down time”.

2.6

Inventory Procurement & Management

Our purchasing department is constantly looking to acquire parts “at” or “below” market value, in order to pass the savings on to the customer. All inventory received and dispatched to the work order is entered in our Quick Aviation System and has minimum amounts set for replenishing consumable parts essential to the everyday repair requirements. We have an excellent relationship with various OEM’s, in assisting us in shipping out the items required urgently. As a matter of policy we try to maintain relationships with our suppliers, which allow us a “just-in-time-inventory” approach. ACT possesses all the tooling/test equipment required to perform component maintenance. All calibrated and test equipment is controlled in our calibration program. The list of calibrated tooling and test equipment is checked on a weekly basis.

Warranty Period

ACT takes pride in its excellent quality and reputation in our industry. Our warranty period for repairs is 18 months & 24 months for overhauls, in accordance with our Warranty Policy.

4.2

Tracking Warranty Claims

Our Quality Assurance Director logs and tracks all warranty reports and findings in a Warranty Log Book. All warranty claims would be addressed in a comprehensive report that would be reviewed in a meeting between our Account Manager and our customer. Our Quality Assurance Department would provide supporting materials, including digital pictures.

4.3

Service Guarantee Claims

Our Manger of Quality Assurance is personally responsible for investigating any service guarantee claims. We always start with a premise that the customer is right. Before any investigation of a warranty claim takes place, we try to resolve the immediate Airline requirement thru an exchange or loaner. There after, our Manager of Quality Assurance will thoroughly investigate any claim and produce a comprehensive report to be reviewed by you, our customer. A mutual decision between us will resolve the claim. ACT prides itself on the quality of our product. We believe that a language in the contract cannot improve any company’s quality – it is an inherent trait that comes from management philosophy.
