Air compressors Eltacon’s air compressors can either produce pressurized air for further treatment by others, or delver instrument air treated to suit client’s instrument air specifications. The selection of the compressor depends on factors such as, capacity, discharge pressure, required air quality, ambient conditions. Eltacon is capable of designing air compressors for harsh conditions. Our installations operate in desert & arctic climates with ambient temperatures up to 55 °C and down to – 50 °C. Special “off-shore” and/or hazardous area applications have also been realized. Accumulation of knowledge From the start in 1987 Eltacon has designed, manufactured, tested and delivered air compressor packages as well as instrument air systems to well-known contractors and end-users. For your understanding of our activities in this field more detailed information about some references is given on the following pages.
Air compressor packages Air compressor packages are completely tailor-made according client’s specification and local regulations. As independent contractor Eltacon selects the best solution for the specific conditions. Based on this we apply oil-flooded single stage screw compressors as well as single or two-stage oil-free screw compressors. Mostly the compressors are directly driven by electric motors, although gas and diesel engine as well as stream turbine driven compressors have also been applied. For some compressors capacity control with a variable speed drive has been selected. Typical “motor” power range for: - oil-flooded screw compressors 160 kW up to 550 kW - oil-free screw compressors 45 kW up to 550 kW We supply compressors for utility and instrument air systems, as well as back-up systems.

Instrument air systems If the air condition has to be realized by Eltacon, we provide you with a “turn-key” instrument air system. These systems are based on the use of: - Lubricated and oil-free reciprocating type of compressors. - Oil-flooded rotary vane and screw type compressors. - Oil-free two-stage screw compressors. Conditioning of the compressed air by adsorption dryers and filter sets. For reasons of reliability, exchangeability, and economic advantage instrument air systems are based on the use of modified manufacturer’s standard equipment. Typical “motor” power range for skid mounted instrument air system approx. 5,5 kW up to 75 kW Over the years, we have supplied a variety of instrument air packages suitable for in- or outdoor use. We supply systems suitable for desert conditions up to + 55 °C as well as containerised systems suitable for ambient temperatures down to – 50 °C.
