FIVE REASONS TO CHOOSE AIB

1

FULLY ACCREDITED AND INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED AIB’s qualifications are internationally recognised and accredited by TEQSA within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). This accreditation assists in ensuring that our qualifications are of an equivalent required standard to the same qualifications issued by other Australian higher education institutions, such as universities and colleges.

2

FOCUSED ON CAREER BENEFITS In a world that can change dramatically in the space of a few years, AIB’s delivery model provide students with an ‘edge’. Completing one subject at a time and integrating your study into your workplace will allow you to gain an immediate return on investment (ROI). For many of our students, this means achieving that promotion or setting up their own business sooner than they thought possible.

3

A GLOBAL EDUCATION NETWORK AIB’s courses are delivered via online learning, which means students can study from anywhere in the world. AIB students join a global alumni network from over 90 countries with access to renowned business speakers and outstanding academic and student support through every step of their journey.

4

BENEFITS FOR YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYER AIB directs and supports students to apply their learnings to their workplace, helping them to consolidate and reinforce their skills and provide immediate benefit to themselves and their employer from the time they start studying.

5

AN AFFORDABLE INVESTMENT AIB’s qualifications are among the most affordable in the market due to its scalable, online delivery mode and business specialisation. The qualifications are also designed to be completed while you work, providing students with the opportunity to continue to earn an income and progress their careers while they study. A survey of AIB’s 2015-16 graduates suggests students increased their salaries by an average of 30%.

ACCREDITATION AND MEMBERSHIPS

Senator The Honourable Simon Birmingham, Minister for Education and Training, congratulates graduates and presents them with their parchments.

ACCREDITATION IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN WEIGHING UP YOUR STUDY OPTIONS.

AIB is registered as a higher education provider in Australia by TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency), the sole government body in Australia authorised to register institutions of higher education, including universities.

This accreditation ensures all our qualifications are equivalent in standing to qualifications issued by Australian universities. As the AQF is internationally recognised, all compliant qualifications are internationally recognised by default.

AIB delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, that are accredited by TEQSA as being compliant with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). As the AQF is internationally recognised, so are AIB’s compliant qualifications.

Details of AIB’s registration status and accredited programmes can be found at the National Register maintained by TEQSA at www.teqsa.gov.au/ national-register/provider/prv12090.

The AIB Online MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree is internationally recognised and is seen as a passport to a successful management career.

MBA degrees provide students with knowledge of how people and processes operate within organisations and the wider environment affecting those organisations.

It is the world’s most popular postgraduate degree, with around 200,000 MBA graduates produced in the USA, and almost 30,000 Australians* studying for an MBA each year.

MBAs were first developed in the USA in the early 1900s. They were designed for graduates within technical disciplines who had little or no business education.

If you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re wasting too much time ‘thinking’. Just do it.

Passion is something you can’t fake. You either love what you do or you don’t. If you do, you don’t have to work another day in your life. When you are driven by passion, it doesn’t occur as work.

“One of the key lessons I’ve learnt throughout my cricketing career is that there’s no substitute for hard work. The harder you work, the luckier you get. There are no shortcuts or quick routes, so work as hard as you can.” Glenn McGrath Former Australian Cricketer, Co-Founder of the McGrath Foundation (Speaker at AIB’s 2015 Graduation Ceremony)

“The number one reason our business fails or succeeds is because of the people we surround ourselves with. Our business has goals and plans to succeed, and we need people who will work through every single challenge and just do it.” Janine Allis Founder of Boost Juice and Retail Zoo, and ‘Shark’ on Network TEN’s Shark Tank Australia (Speaker at AIB’s 2014 Graduation Ceremony)

GRADUATION

ALL GRADUATES ARE INVITED TO CELEBRATE THEIR ACHIEVEMENT AT THE PRESTIGIOUS AIB GRADUATION CEREMONY. The Australian Graduation Ceremony tends to be in November each year where Graduates are formally conferred their degree in the presence of their family, and a community of fellow graduates, faculty, industry guests, and Members of Parliament.

The ceremony is attended by faculty, academic and advisory board members, and high profile guests, many of whom have presented inspiring and thoughtful graduation keynote speeches. In recent years, these proficient keynote speakers have included Janine Allis, Founder of Boost Juice, and Glenn McGrath, former Australian International Cricketer, and Co-Founder of the McGrath Foundation.

Their speeches are aimed at motivating and inspiring our graduates with their successful business stories. As graduates of ‘The Practical Business School,’ graduates recognise the value their qualification has to the industry, due to its emphasis on practical application of each skill to the workplace, and know that this memorable achievement will be valued for a lifetime.

The sense of achievement on the day is just remarkable. Having my family watch me receive my parchment is a memory I’ll cherish forever.

COURSE FEES

Senator The Honourable Simon Birmingham, Minister for Education and Training, addresses graduates and attendees at the AIB Graduation Ceremony.

MBA

COURSE FEES AIB’s MBA programme is amongst the most affordable in Australia. Your specific course fees will depend on a number of factors including: your location, whether you are undertaking the course in stages, whether you are entitled to exemptions, and when you are planning on commencing studies. Your Course Advisor will be able to provide you with the current fee schedule and determine your specific course fees payable.

FEE-HELP The Australian Institute of Business (AIB) is an accredited Higher Education Provider and is approved to offer FEE-HELP, an Australian Government loan scheme which assists eligible students to pay part or all of your tuition fees. No loan fee applies to FEE-HELP loans for the MBA, and the Commonwealth Government pays the amount of the loan directly to AIB on the student’s behalf. Your eligibility for FEE-HELP is not affected by your income and assets.

Interest is not applied to FEE-HELP debts, however an index amount is applied each year and this indexation amount is in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI). For further information regarding FEE-HELP, please visit www.studyassist.gov.au.

UP-FRONT PAYMENT OPTION If you are not FEE-HELP eligible and you are not studying in Australia, you may enjoy considerable savings by paying for your course fees up-front. Paying up-front also protects you from future course fee increases.

FUNDING SOURCES In addition to FEE-HELP, funding sources vary from student to student. The vast majority utilise personal funds for their studies, while others prefer to spread their payments into manageable amounts over a period of time with a low-rate credit card, personal loan, or incorporating this in a home loan.

PAYMENT MODES Payments can be made by (Visa/ MasterCard) credit card online through our payment gateway which attracts a small credit card surcharge. Other accepted modes of payment are: cheque, direct debit, and bank transfer.

TAX BENEFIT If you are accepted into the course, you may be able to obtain a tax deduction of your course fees as a self-education expense. Please visit www.ato.gov.au for more information or consult your accountant. Contact one of our Course Advisors by calling 08 8212 8111 or via email at [email protected] to find out about payment options available to you. Other fees are listed in the application form.
