RELIVE JUNGLE BOOK: THE MAJESTIC INDIAN WILDLIFE TOUR INDIA: 14 DAYS / 13 NIGHTS Explore India's natural reserves at its best with Worldwide Adventures. Counted among the most interesting and varied wildlife destinations, the three important wildlife reserves will be our destination. Get to see the majestic Bengal tiger, Chital deer and other animals from a close range! After we rendezvous in Delhi, we will start our incursion towards the heart of India, 'Madhya Pradesh', where the dramatic Badhavgarh national forest is located. A hilly mosaic of forest and savannah hosting an abundance of Chital, India's signature deer, Bandhavgarh will get you a step closer to nature in its most basic and raw form. Understand the call of various creatures alerting when a tiger is near. A tiger is generally elusive, covering itself in the dense vegetation and appearing right at the point of strike. Relive the experiences of the famous Jungle Book by Kipling in the majestic Kanha national forest, where the interspersed rich grassy meadows are home to herds of the very local Southern Swamp Deer in addition to the Chital. We should see the impressive Gaur, the world's largest bovine, and we'll watch for Sloth Bear, Striped Hyena, Wild Boar, Sambar, Four-horned Antelope, Barking Deer, Golden Jackal, Dhole (Indian Wild Dog), Leopard, and a number of lesser mammals in both of these reserves. Might we interest you in the one-horned Rhinoceros, an exceedingly endangered species at the brink of extinction? Come with us to Kaziranga, near the banks of mythical Brahmaputra River in India's great northeast and the home to Indian One-horned Rhinoceros and Asian Elephant. Listen to the cries of the Western Hoolock Gibbon (India's only ape) while you wait amidst the dense forest for a sighting. It must not come as a surprise to you, if you were to count the number of bird species you'd be able to watch while you're on this tour (that could come to 200). Though you can't step out of the jeep once you're inside the reserves, you'll be able to sight different birds from inside the jeep or around your comfortable & luxurious lodges. This tour is also a wonderful opportunity to become familiar with India's fine native flora and we'll watch for anything else of interest as there will be so much. There should be fantastic photographic opportunities all around!
