A Word From Our C.E.O I am happy to report to you that 201 3 was a tremendous year for Global Partners in Hope! What factors contributed to this tremendous year? First, we have a great staff in place to help with the work. Much rises and falls on having skilled, talented, and gifted people in place. GPiH certainly has a great team of people who are fully committed to developing communities around the world and seeing life transformation take place. Secondly, we have great collaborative partnerships in Africa and China. Because of these valued partnerships, we were able to accomplish far beyond what we had imagined. Like our team in China, that hosted over a 1 00 U.S. partners this past year; or our team in Africa who, while uncertainty still looms over their country, they persevered in establishing working clinics that are seeing hundreds of patients weekly. Thirdly, we have an exceptional GPiH community of advocates and supporters. There have been countless people who have personally sacrificed by giving their time, talents, and resources to bring transformation to communities across the globe. That is why it is an honor to present to you this Annual Report for 201 3. I hope that the stories, facts, and figures not only encourage you, but also inspire you to continue your involvement with GPiH! Kind regards,

Ian

Highlights of 2013 World Energy Project During a trip in August of 201 3, a 1 kilowatt solar panel system was successfully installed at St. Anne's Girls' School in Kapkemich, Kenya. The school is no longer dependent on unreliable and expensive electricity. In the last month the local power grid had 20 days of blackouts, none of which were experienced at St. Anne's! Thanks to this solar panel system, St. Anne's no longer has any electrical bills to pay, which will save around $2,800 a year. Over time that savings will allow the school to spend their money on other things, like hiring new teachers, buying computers, providing more scholarships, and even buying a school bus to take the girls on field trips, to soccer games, music competitions, and more. This system, which was paid for entirely by our incredible supporters, cost $1 2,000, so it will pay for itself in only four years. The life span of the system is estimated at 30 years. Here is another way of looking at the value of the system. There are 200 students at St. Anne's now, so the system cost $60 per student. Over the course of 30 years, more than 8,000 students will benefit, meaning the cost to provide one student with electricity for their entire high school career is $1 .50. Another highlight of 201 3 came in April, when Casey Heier had the opportunity to compete for a grant at the annual Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU). Casey and WEP were able to advance as far as the quarterfinals with our "Energy for Education" Campaign. Ultimately, we came up a bit short, but it was a great opportunity to learn about how to market WEP to potential donors. -Ashley Jasso, Director of World Energy Project

R eb ec c a C u i After serving with GPiH for a year as bookkeeper and translator, Rebecca has stepped down to pursue her dream of running a daycare center. Many of GPiH's teachers have had the opportunity to meet and work with Rebecca. Her sweet spirit will be missed by many. Rebecca’s bookkeeping duties will be filled on an as-needed basis by the Chinese firm that helped GPiH secure our Chinese business licence. An d rew C h u Andrew remains connected to GPiH, but will spend 201 4 focused on learning and mastering Mandarin. As many of you know, Mandarin is an incredibly difficult language to learn, so Andrew has stepped back from his leadership duties with GPiH to focus on this important process.

Looking Ahead: 2014 Goals & Transitions H eal th C are & C l ean Water Access • Construct 4th Malian medical clinic in Tiecourabougou • Continue building wells in Bako Region • Improve functionality of existing clinics Lead ersh i p Devel opm en t • Build new partnerships with businesses and churches in the US • Expand into new cities in China • Sponsor 500 Chinese ministry leaders to attend our classes • Standardize Women’s Connection curriculum • Reach 2000+ leaders with our training courses Su stai n abl e En erg y (Worl d En erg y Proj ect) • Install solar panel system at a school in Wogba, Togo • Fully fund a Director position Staff • In March of 201 4 Don You n g relocated from Omaha to Atlanta to be closer to the "College of Prayer," another nonprofit that he is affiliated with. Other than living farther from Omaha, this will not change Don's work with GPiH. Don continues to give of his time and talents as Vice-President of International Operations. • In January of201 4 Ash l ey J asso (formerly Schmidt) came on board with GPiH as the full time Director of World Energy Project, and is working to raise support for this position. Em erg i n g Partn ersh i p i n Tog o Global Partners in Hope began to connect with Omaha’s Togolese community in mid 201 3. By some estimates, there are between 3,000 and 5,000 Togolese people living in Omaha. Through growing relationships with this vibrant community, we have begun to explore the possibility of developing a large scale project in Togo that can bring about systemic change and bring hope to those who need it. Togo faces many problems that GPiH has been able to address in Mali, such as little access to medical care, clean water, and electricity in rural communities. Some other advantages for GPiH are a stable government and French as the national language. We will take an exploratory trip in June, and at the same time will complete our first test project, the installation of the solar panel system at a school in the village Wogba.

Board Perspectives

Dr. J ay Steel e "Working with GPiH this past year has been a life-changing blessing. I had the opportunity to teach four ministry classes and one business class in Beijing, and am grateful to all who made this possible. "One of the most moving experiences was teaching at a house church prayer meeting. A student in the ministry class requested that I speak at their Thursday evening meeting. Prior to the service the student and I became more acquainted. Since we were about the same age, we inquired about each other’s past. He was a career military man and is now retired. In the early 1 970s he was in North Vietnam repairing aircraft for the North Vietnamese. While I did not fight in Vietnam, I was in the first draft lottery and was very aware of the potential of being drafted. Over 40 years later, two potential 'enemies' of the past were sitting across from each other in Beijing, now one in Christ. The mystery of the Lord’s moving will never cease to amaze me. Praise the Lord!"

Rog er E. Atwood , G Pi H B oard C h ai rm an "What a wonderful blessing 201 3 has been for Global Partners in Hope, and also of course for those we serve elsewhere on the globe. None of this would be possible without the continued encouragement, prayer, and financial support from fellow servants like you. "Throughout this report, you will see more of the amazing accomplishments of this past year. This is clear evidence that God is working through Global Partners, and that He has blessed not only those we serve, but those of you serving with us as well. As we progress through 201 4 and beyond, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers so that we can very effectively continue what God has called us to do. "Serving our Lord and Savior together is such a great joy."

Partner Perspectives Global Partners enjoyed a strong year in 201 3, and a large part of that is thanks to our amazing partners. Our partners are our biggest advocates, and crucial to our success. In October we asked some of our most active supporters to rate us on a scale of 1 to 5 on the website GreatNonProfits.org. We are proud to report that Global Partners in Hope received 1 8 Five-Star Reviews! Thanks to this collection of positive reviews, GPiH was named a Top Rated Nonprofit on GreatNonProfits.org. We are incredibly thankful for these positive reviews, and wanted to share a few of them with you: "GPiH is a life changing experience for everyone involved! As an educator, my eyes have been opened to inequalities around the world. How precious a drop of water truly is to a child, a parent, a friend! Not only does GPIH educate the need for clean water, they assist even the youngest child to understand that helping others is essential! Not only can we make a difference in our city, but thousands of miles away! My students are blessed to be a part of the GPiH organization and our heart strings are forever connected to our friends in Mali!" -Kristen LaMontia, Teacher, Crestridge Magnate Center, Omaha, NE "I have volunteered twice for GPiH in 201 3. GPiH relies on His wisdom and provision for all its projects. GPiH's work in China is greatly impacting business leaders, families and society. Through the various programs GPiH offers, Chinese people learn how to apply universal truths and Biblical truths to their own lives and also get trained to train/lead others. This Lead the Leaders, Train the Trainers model is bringing lost ethnic value, family value, and individual’s true identity back to Chinese society. I enjoyed working with GPiH and I plan to work with this organization again in the near future." -Yinyan Huang-Dong, Translator & Supporter, Denver, CO "I have worked with and given to this organization. GPiH was able to provide Mali, West Africa villages with wells and medical facilities. Not only because of their ability to raise money, but because GPiH was able to bring together educational organizations, corporations, religious groups, and governments for the common good of those in need. They also host and provide educators monthly in Beijing, China for business ethics and leadership classes that are now self-funded because GPiH wants their donor’s financial gifts to go farther. I can say with all confidence this is an organization that has its heart and, just as importantly, head in the right place for helping those in need." -Eric Maas, CEO, Complete Music, Omaha, NE
