A multitude of experience Over 145 years of success

Pioneering spirit and meticulous working have a tradition at GEZE, and it spans back to the founding of the company in Stuttgart-Feuerbach in 1863. The small construction fittings factory soon developed into a leading developer and manufacturer of systems for door, window and safety technology. Today GEZE door closers are some of the best known in the world. GEZE has proven its power to innovate with numerous awards, including, for example, the “Top 100“ innovation prize in 2002 and 2009.

Carl Bauer sets up the “construction fittings factory“ in Stuttgart-Feuerbach.

75-year company anniversary. The company now has 300 employees and has developed into a recognised medium-sized company.

1898 Production begins on ski bindings to utilise summer and winter production.

1911 The product range is expanded to include skylight openers, door closers and hold-open systems.

1936 Christel Kranz and Franz Pfnür win gold medals at the Winter Olympics with GEZE‘s “Kandahar“ ski bindings.

1959 The company moves to Leonberg.

1968 Reinhold Vöster transfers his share of the company and, with it, the management to his granddaughter Brigitte Vöster.

1980 The product range focuses on complete solutions for doors and windows. Automatic door solutions gain increasing significance.

A production site is founded in Tianjin, China.

GEZE receives the “TOP JOB“ seal of approval and the “TOP Employer in Germany 2008“ award for outstanding staff management.

1997 The Slimdrive SL automatic sliding door drive is premiered. With a height of just seven centimetres, it represents a milestone in product design.

2009

Since 1999

GEZE once again receives the “TOP 100“ award for innovations, ideas and investments, as well as the „reddot design award“ for outstanding product design.

The company has continued to expand internationally, and now has 27 subsidiaries and numerous representatives across the world.

2010 Construction begins on an ultra modern production site in Zrenjanin, Serbia.
