SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

System Description General

Simtec 56.0 and Simtec 56.1 are fuel injection and ignition systems that are used only in Opel and Vauxhall cars. The systems use a number of sensors which operate in an unusual way. Two of these are the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor, which are described below. The third is the lambda sensor, which, unlike the lambda sensor in other systems, has a signal that alternates between 0 and 5 V. Summary – Car Models

Throttle potentiometer – measures the throttle’s angle. Coolant temperature sensor. Air temperature sensor – measures the temperature of the air ingested. Lambda sensor – measures the oxygen content of the exhaust gases.
