Edito

To help kickoff the ESSEC 2013 International Banking Seminar, I would like to wish all participants – our students, alumni and partners – fruitful exchanges that offer rich promise for the future. Financial training at ESSEC is very highly regarded and widely recognized for its excellence. Tellingly, for the second consecutive year, the Financial Times has ranked our Masters in Finance program at second place worldwide. This year, our intent is to grow this reputation for excellence by launching the new Masters of Science in Finance, expanding our range of programs and reinforcing our already excellent financial profile. ESSEC understands the needs of businesses as well as the very specific skill sets required for successful careers in finance, and we do everything in our power to ensure that our programs respond to these needs. During their training, not only do our students master advanced financial techniques and develop in-depth analytical skills, they also learn to value openness, curiosity, creativity and above all accountability, all qualities one needs to thrive in a financial environment that is constantly evolving. As businesses that hire our graduates will surely understand, this is the spirit ESSEC. Happy meeting everyone!

Jean-Michel Blanquer Dean & President
