La estructura es sólida, de acero, con un acabado mate o brillante. La base del asiento, muy profundo y con una ligera inclinación para que el cuerpo encuentre fácil acomodo, así como el respaldo, que parece complementar la curva de la espalda.
This design by Ferran Estela refers to the innovations introduced by the Bauhaus in materials and in the combination of disparate elements to which it gives harmony. The frame is made of solid steel, with a matt or bright finish. The basis of the seat, very deep and with a slight inclination to offer easy accommodation for the body, as well as the back, which seems to complete the curve of the human back.

Sus líneas son puras y sintéticas, llevando al límite el concepto de sofá. Sus módulos se presentan en tres medidas: 120, 140 y 180 cm, con anchos de brazo de 14 o 28 cm, de modo que el cliente configure la opción que mejor se adapta a su espacio. Partiendo de la idea de “monobloque de asiento” (estructura que conjunga la base y el cojin de apoyo), Protos permite crear un sofá eligiendo el número y medida de las piezas básicas (brazos, respaldo y asiento) a voluntad. El confort es la finalidad primordial de este
diseño y se ha conseguido introduciendo ligeras variables en los rasgos habituales. Por un lado, se ha aumentado la profundidad de la base del asiento, ya que se ha tomado en consideración la creciente informalidad de los hábitos domésticos contemporáneos. Todas las piezas son desenfundables para facilitar su mantenimiento y desmontables (con llave allen). A pesar de tener un tamaño comparativamente mayor respecto del sofá tradicional, Protos no presenta problemas de transporte e instalación porque todos los elementos (brazos, respaldo, asiento) son independientes y se montan en su ubicación final.

Its lines are pure and synthetic, taking the concept of a sofa to the limit. The modules are available in three measures: 120, 140 and 180 cm, with arm widths of 14 or 28 cm so that the client can configure it as it best fit his space. Starting with the idea sofa one-bloc seat (a frame that joins the basis and the support cushion), Protos allows you to create a sofa by choosing the number and size of the basic pieces (arms, back and seat) as you desire. Comfort is the primary purpose of this design and it has been achieved by introducing light variables in the standard features.
On the one the seat base has been made deeper, considering the growing informality of contemporary home atmospheres. The upholstery of all of the pieces is removable to make care easier and can be dismantled (Allen wrench). Despite having a comparatively greater size with respect to the traditional sofa, Protos does not show any problems of transport and installation because all the elements (arms, back, seat) are independent and are mounted in its final location.
