Additional Recommendations You will also need a two-button scrolling mouse and a high speed Internet connection for updates. Purchasing a computer with a solid-state drive will make the entire designing experience more enjoyable. Running 2020 Design in a virtual environment, such as VMware or Parallels, will impact rendering performance. We strongly recommend using a dedicated graphics card by NVIDIA, ATI, or AMD. Please avoid systems with only integrated graphics, such as Intel HD Graphics or AMD APUs.

New Features This section describes the new features available in 2020 Design version 11.2.

2020 Cloud (Beta) 2020 Cloud provides everything you need to browse, search, and then add catalog products into your designs. You will also be able to view the very latest 2020 news instantly within your 2020 software.

Ask Options New Ask Option functionality Feature & Option type catalogs. Data authors can now define mandatory options for an item, which users will then be prompted to define when placing the item. This simplifies the user experience, as only the options actually used by the selected items need to be set.

Shipping charge set under Design charges does not work An error may occur when placing items via the Item Placement dialogs on some hardware using touch screen displays. Rendering generated in Room Viewer is extremely dark. Anchor: Anchor not being evaluated after changing a DR-L parameter that changes the Maxheight. Anchor: An error may occur trying to load designs saved in *.TPL format; items use anchor points An error may occur when pressing ALT+ the TAB key prior to confirming a new value for a variable in the edit state. Missing validation regarding whether file name entered is valid while doing "Import" Camera is hidden under floorplan units. An error may occur when editing dimensions of an item if the catalog uses an invalid User formula expression. Blank note added to the floorplan when placement is cancelled. F&O: Feature does not show in F&O dialog if they contain mutually exclusive options. F&O: Option exclude does NOT work when option relations originate from parent. F&O: An error may occur when changing certain variables in certain F&O type catalogs. F&O: An error may occur when changing User Default Option with attached design. F&O: An error may occur when closing design after placing panel run and deleting. F&O: An error may occur when closing design after placing panel run and deleting if an elevation is present. F&O: Default Option dialog keeps popping up after cancelling the dialog. F&O: An error may occur when closing design after setting an option using data formatted in specific ways. Idea Center: An error may occur when placing an Idea in the Item List. Idea Center: An error may occur when clicking Cancel for automatic deletion of connected items message. Item is added to the Drawing Layout when double-clicking in the Drag & Drop list. Memory leak when using 360 panoramic view. Variable has incorrect value if file created from no document state. XML: Incorrect getdata xml may be generated for certain localized catalogs. An error may occur when saving a design that contains unswitched item(s). Security: Design.BOMPrint.Allow security right does not work correctly. Security: Design.FIle.Open security right does not work correctly. Switch Items: Rate Records not displayed in Styles and Pricing dialog if rate is in a "Need to be switched" state. An error may occur when selecting FILE/SAVE IMAGE “TEXTURE WITH EDGES” QUALITY HIGH. 5

Bak file may become corrupted if user tries to save design multiple times in low memory state. An error may occur when using attributes light and then continue modifications through the regular attributes window. An error may occur in item list loading ilc file that lessen the number of tabs. An error may occur when changing the height of Tall unit panels from Style M via Attributes. Fixed catalog to correct invalid user formula, and added protection to application if user formula is invalid.
