Medically At-Risk Students/Staff Please inform your child’s teacher and Mrs. Anderson, in writing, if your child is at risk of anaphylaxis or has a serious medical condition. Forms for you to complete (available at the office) should outline the expected symptoms and your requested intervention from school. We have a student who has a severe allergy to nuts as well as nut products, oils, etc. We thereby encourage nut-free lunches and snacks to be brought by all students. Please avoid sending products to school that say, ―may contain nuts‖ as well. If you are bringing in a special treat please check with the teacher or office in advance, ensure that you provide a nut free treat and bring it into the office. Although we cannot guarantee a peanut free environment, we appreciate your continued efforts with this delicate issue. We also have a very high scents/environmental sensitivity among staff. Please refrain from using fragrances at Woodland or any DSBN school. Thanks!

As a school community we emphasize positive decision making, problem solving strategies, relationship building and character development. To kick off Woodland’s Character Education Program this school year, we are holding our annual T-Shirt Design Contest! All students are encouraged to enter the contest by designing a t-shirt promoting the ‘I Matter!’ theme, good character and school pride and to submit their entries to Mr. Shad by Monday, September 19th.
