AUTHORITY: The 2012 SA Khanacross Championship Series hereafter called the Event will be held under the International Sporting Code of the FIA and the National Competition Rules of CAMS, the Khanacross Regulations together with these Supplementary Regulations and any Further Supplementary Regulations or Bulletins which may be issued by the Organisers and as approved by CAMS. This Event will be conducted under and in accordance with CAMS OH&S and Risk Management Policies, which can be found on the CAMS website at www.cams.com.au

Description of the Events: The two events comprising the 2012 SA Khanacross Championship Series will run as follows, Round 1 will be a day/night event. Round 2 will be a day/twilight event.

PERMIT: The event will be conducted under CAMS Organising Permit No 512/3009/01 (Round 1), CAMS Organising Permit No 512/1011/01 (Round 2). The permit will be displayed on the official notice board at the event. Licensed drivers and all officials must be signed on and, as such, are covered by Personal Accident Insurance under the terms of the CAMS National Insurance Scheme (see Appendix I).Public Risk Insurance has been effected by the Organisers. Formulation of Provisional Results & Completion of Competition for both rounds. Official Presentation Official Presentation NOTE: There is no scheduled break for lunch. It is recommended that competitors utilize the time between their runs for their lunch break. 9.

RESULTS: Provisional results for each round will be posted at completion of competition. Placings for the series will be determined by the aggregate of points scored for both rounds. Points for each round will be allocated as follows, with 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 points awarded for 1st to 19th driver respectively and 1 point for 20th and onwards. The result will be based on the lowest total time of the courses completed as per Article 12 of the Khanacross Regulations.

10. AWARDS: Trophies will be awarded to Outright and Class Winners including Juniors and Ladies, at each round. Awards for Outright 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the Series, will be presented at CAMS Awards Night. 11. ELIGIBILITY: The event is open to all vehicles complying with Schedule A and Group 4H of the 2012 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Class A - Road Cars = up to 1300cc Class B - Road Cars = 1301 – 1600cc Class C - Road Cars = 1601 – 2000cc Class D - Road Cars = Over 2000cc Class AM – Modified Cars or Rally Tyres = up to 1300cc

Class BM – Modified Cars or Rally Tyres = 1301cc – 1600cc Class CM – Modified Cars or Rally Tyres = 1601cc – 2000cc Class DM – Modified Cars or Rally Tyres = Over 2000cc Class E = Highly Modified / Buggies Class F = All Production 4WD Vehicles

NOTE: Non-production 4WD or 4WS vehicles are not permitted. ROLLOVER PROTECTION: Competitors are reminded that all specials as defined by Group 4H are to be fitted with rollover protection complying with Schedule J of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. EXTINGUISHER: All vehicles must be fitted with an approved and functioning fire extinguisher complying with CAMS Schedule H. The minimum capacity is 900g. HEADLIGHTS: For Round 1 all vehicles must have a minimum of two (2) forward facing headlights that are operational prior to starting any competitive run at night. Not applicable for Round 2. VEHICLE PRESENTATION: Acceptable standards of presentation and condition of your vehicle must be met. The Clerk of Course shall rule on the acceptability of any vehicle to compete in the Event. Vehicles must be adequately muffled to comply with noise restrictions. VEHICLE DAMAGE OR BREAKDOWN: Any car suffering damage during the Event must return to scrutineering for inspection prior to continuing. Cars considered unsafe or unsuitable will be precluded from further competition. Any driver whose vehicle has broken down may change vehicles subject to prior approval of the Clerk of Course. The replacement vehicle must meet the requirements for this event, must be scrutineered, should preferably be in the same class, and must be used for the remainder of the event. TYRES: Rally tyres are permitted for this event in classes AM, BM, CM and DM, E & F. MUD FLAPS: All vehicles must be fitted with effective mud flaps behind all driven wheels (Round 1 only). APPAREL: ALL drivers MUST wear a CAMS approved helmet complying with Schedule D, goggles/visor (for all open cars and in closed cars with the windscreen removed), flame resistant clothing from the neck to ankle to wrist, and suitable footwear. Clothing or footwear made of a flammable synthetic material, e.g. nylon, is not acceptable. 12. PROTESTS: Protests must be lodged / heard in accordance with Part XII of the current CAMS Manual. 13. CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT: The Organisers reserve the right to alter or abandon the Event in accordance with NCR 59 or if the number of entries received by the closing date is, in their opinion, insufficient; or to alter or abandon the Event if any part of the course is rendered impassable.

ENTRIES CLOSE: Entries must be lodged with the Event Secretary by last mail (or emailed by 2200 hrs) Wednesday 26th September (Round 1) and by last mail (or emailed by 2200 hrs) Tuesday 6th November (Round 2). Starting position will be determined by order of receipt of entries, altered to fit in multiple entries determined by the Clerk of Course. ENTRY FEE: Entries received until close of entries is: $65 (Juniors $40) (Round 1), $65 (Juniors $40) (Round 2) PHONE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED; NEITHER WILL ENTRIES BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. REFUSAL OF ENTRY: In Accordance with NCR 83 entries may be refused. EXCLUSION: Either at the recommendation of the Clerk of Course or otherwise, the Stewards may exclude from further competition any driver who: - Disobeys the direction of an official. - Exceeds walking pace in the pit area. - Breach of any regulation that allows exclusion. COMPETITORS BRIEFING AT VENUE: Any driver failing to attend this briefing can only start competition with the approval of the stewards. 16. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPETITORS: Maximum number of competitors will be 50. Minimum number of entries will be 20. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt of fully completed entry form and full payment of all entry fees. Multiple entries will be spaced apart sufficiently to ensure that there is enough time to change drivers. The Organisers may establish a waiting list. MAXIMUM ENTRIES PER VEHICLE: Maximum number of entries per vehicle will be 4. 17. METHOD OF TIMING: Will be manual / beam timing to the 1/10th second. Timing shall commence when the car moves off or crosses the designated start line and shall cease when the leading point of the car crosses the designated finish line. The driver may start in their own time, within 10 seconds of receiving directions from the start line official. Class F will receive a 5% penalty added to the total time taken for each run as per the SA Motorkhana Panel recommendations. FLAGS TO BE USED: Flags used during the events will be demonstrated at the drivers briefing. RE-RUNS: If the timing should fail to record a competitor’s time, then the competitor will be offered a re-run by the officials. Any driver whose vehicle has broken down may change vehicles subject to prior approval of the Clerk of Course. The replacement vehicle must meet the requirements for this event, must be scrutineered, should preferably be in the same class, and must be used for the remainder of the event. FINISHERS: To be classified as a finisher and to be eligible for awards a driver must complete at least 50% of the runs. NUMBER OF RUNS: The minimum number of runs will be 5.

PENALTIES: The penalty of Plus Five (5) Seconds shall be applied for any of the following infringements Hitting a course marker, flag or water barrier Finishing a course with part of the car outside the finish garage. The penalty of Slowest Time plus Five (5) Seconds shall be applied for any of the following infringements - Wrong direction, any procedure other than that specified as the correct procedure for completing that course - Failing to finish a course (DNF) or failure to attempt a course (DNS) - Running out of order without the prior approval of the Clerk of Course - Reversing after crossing the designated start / finish line - Failing to stop completely within a mid-course garage - Failing to stop completely at the finish of a course or finishing a course with the car completely outside the finish garage - Shortening the course. 18. SLOWEST Time Plus Five (5) seconds is determined by the slowest time by a non junior competitor who completes the course without penalty. When the slowest time + 5 seconds exceeds double fastest, the time to be applied is double fastest. 19. ADVERTISING ON CARS: Any advertising on cars must comply with Schedule K and NCR 155. Any sign writing deemed inappropriate by the Clerk of Course will result in a $100.00 fine and be referred to the stewards of the meeting for exclusion as per NCR 169 xi unless removed upon request. No protest will be allowed as per NCR 169 xiii. 20. REFUELLING: Vehicles may only be refuelled in the designated refuelling area. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that the allocated official and a functional fire extinguisher provided by the Event are in place whilst refuelling their vehicle. Failure to do so will be reported to the stewards and may result in exclusion. 21. JUDGES OF FACT: All signed on officials shall be deemed to be Judges of Fact of the event. This includes determining whether a course or test has been correctly completed; a garage correctly entered; a field garage correctly traversed; or the accuracy in timing of a competitor's run. Speed of a Vehicle in a pit area. Scrutineers are deemed to be Judges of Fact with regards to vehicle eligibility, vehicle safety, accident damage, and acceptability of equipment. Medical Officers are deemed to be Judges of Fact of the Medical condition of any driver or support crew members. 22. SCRUTINEERING: Will be held at the venue for all competitors. All vehicles must be scrutineered prior to being used in competition. Please ensure that your car is presented for scrutineering no later than 30 minutes prior to the end of scrutineering. NOTE: Attention will be given to the safe mounting of in-car camera equipment. ALL competitors must present the following documents to the Documentation Desk: - Current CAMS Affiliated Club Membership Card - Current CAMS Competition Licence (Level 2NS, 2NSJ, or Higher Licence) - Vehicle Log Book (If one has been issued for that vehicle) 23. PASSENGERS: Passengers may not be carried during competition. (section 9 - CAMS 2012 Khanacross Regulations). A Junior (see 24. Juniors below) driver may only carry a passenger as an instructor, subject to approval by the Clerk of Course. If an instructor is carried the Junior is not eligible for any award. All instructors must hold at least a L2NS or higher licence and must sign the appropriate indemnity form. 24. JUNIORS: Entries from competitors under 18 years of age must be counter-signed and consented to, by a Parent or Guardian of the Competitor or Driver. No driver entered in the competition shall be under the age of 12 years. Drivers 12 and 13 years of age MUST be accompanied by an experienced instructor, as approved by Clerk of Course and have participated in a CAMS Junior Development Program or have competed in a CAMS approved Khanacross. 25. ALCOHOL OR DRUGS: During any event, consumption of alcoholic beverages in the paddock, pits or any other portion of the competition venue under the control of the officials is expressly forbidden until all practice or competition activity is concluded for each day. Any driver or crew member who is found to be affected by alcohol on the day of the event or practice therefore shall not be permitted to participate. Refer NCR 145A of the Current CAMS Manual. In addition, the persons concerned will be subject to the Articles of the Standard Operating Procedure for Alcohol Testing and CAMS Anti-Doping Policy. Competitors, crews or officials may be randomly tested for alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) or other drugs at any time during the event(s). The CAMS Anti Doping Policy, as appears in the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport and as amended from time to time, is recognised as an integral component of the NCR and is duly authorised as such. In any areas where the National Competition Rules and the CAMS Anti Doping Policy conflict, the CAMS Anti Doping Policy will take precedence. 26. CATERING: food and refreshments will be available throughout the duration of the event.

27. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT(S): Organisers reminds you that both rounds are on Private Property. The owners have requested that no dogs and no alcohol are to be brought onto the property.
