VERY IMPORTANT: You must ensure that you have the correct LED/RGB lighting strip to work with this module (Common Cathode type) - please refer to the installation section of these instructions for guidance.

This kit contains one LED Driver with terminal connections. FITTING AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS: Important Things to Consider Before you Begin 1). Before commencing work, ALWAYS isolate the mains power supply and remove the fuse in the fuse box or switch off the circuit breaker in the consumer unit. 2). If unit is to be used as a replacement for an existing product, remove existing unit from its location and disconnect the wiring. 3). Connect the wires as shown in appropriate diagrams. Use green/yellow sleeving on any earth conductors not insulated. Ensure terminals are properly tightened and no bare wire is visible. When mounting products into mounting boxes make sure conductors are not trapped. 4). When screwing the unit to the mounting box, do not over tighten fixing screws. Fixing screws are supplied with this product. 5). Products must be installed in accordance with the latest Building and IEE wiring regulations. If in any doubt, please contact a qualified electrician.

INSTALLATION: 1) Ensure that all power is disconnected. 2) Connect the 12v dc (ONLY) power supply to the input terminal as indicated on the diagram. Output

3) Connect the 12v RGB ouput to the output terminal as indicated in the diagram. NOTE: The LED module is compatible with 12v LED lamps and white LED strips (please ensure that the lamps are dimmable if dimming is required). IMPORTANT: The maximum wattage output MUST be 54w or below, otherwise there is the risk of damage to the driver. VERY IMPORTANT: There are two types of systems used with 12v LED drivers. Common Cathode and Common Anode. Each type has a different connection; it is important before you attempt installation that you have chosen the correct LED/RGB lighting strip to work with this module. CORRECT : Common Cathode (may be marked - RGB or 0V RGB) INCORRECT: Common Anode (may be marked + RGB or 12V RGB)

SETUP: IMPORTANT: Make sure that the driver is accessible once installed in order to operate the pairing button Pairing with a LightwaveRF Connect Remote NOTE: For basic control of the LED Driver It is possible to use the any LightwaveRF Connect transmitter. To select the colour an LED remote or LightwaveRF smartphone app must be used. 1) Press and hold the manual button on the driver module until the LED lamps/strips flash (learning mode).

2) Press the on or off button on the remote. The LEDs will flash at a different rate to indicate a successful pairing.

NOTE: The LED Driver Module can be paired with up to 6 separate transmitters at any one time. Learning mode lasts for 12 seconds; if no command is received during this time, the LED Driver will exit learning mode. Unpairing with a LightwaveRF Connect transmitter 1) Press and hold the manual button on the LED Driver until the LEDs start to flash. 2) Press the on or off button on the remote (must be already paired). The LEDs will flash at a different rate to indicate that the Driver has been unpaired. Complete Memory Reset 1) Press and hold the manual button. Release the button once the LEDs begin to flash. 2) Press and hold a second time until the LEDs flash in a different colour / at a different rate. 3) Press (dont hold) the manual button a third time. The LEDs will flash for 2 seconds to indicate that the memory has been cleared.

OPERATION: Basic 1) Press the ‘on’ button on the LightwaveRF LED Remote transmitter to turn the LEDs on. Hold the button to raise the dim level. 2) Press the ‘off’ button on the transmitter to turn the LEDs off. Hold the button to lower the dim level. NOTE: These basic functions can be operated via ANY LightwaveRF Connect transmitter such as a Handheld Remote, Mood Controller or Wirefree Switch. Advanced Setting the Colour 1) With the LEDs already turned on, press the ‘palatte’ button on the LED remote repeatedly to manually cycle through the main colour types. 2) Once the desired colour has been selected, press the ‘tone’ button to choose the desired shade. Setting the Colours to auto-cycle 1) Press the ‘cycle’ button on the handset. There are 4 seperate settings accessed by pressing the ‘cycle’ button up to four times (make sure to leave a second gap between each key press to allow time for each radio transmittion). - The first press of the ‘cycle’ button will auto-cycle through the tones of the currently selected colour. - The second press will cycle the tones more slowly.

- The third press will auto-cycle through the entire colour palatte. - The forth press will auto-cycle through the entire colour palatte more slowly. Pressing the ‘pallatte’ or ‘tone’ button at any time will stop the auto-cycle function. Setting Moods 1) Select the desired colour setting (see above). 2) Making sure that the LED driver is turned on, press and hold one of the mood buttons until the LEDs flash. 3) Repeat the process for the other mood buttons, if desired, using different colour and dim levels. IMPORTANT: Other LightwaveRF receivers (eg dimmers/CFRs/other LED strips) may be included in a saved mood along with the LED Driver: ensure that the remote being used is paired to all devices, set the desired colour/dim levels of all devices, and hold one of the mood buttons. You can also use a LightwaveRF Connect Mood Controller, Handheld Remote or Smartphone to save and operate Moods.

NOTE: If the RF range between the transmitter and receiver is too great to achieve reliable operation, the LightwaveRF SIGNAL BOOSTER may be used in conjunction with this product to increase the signal strength over greater distances.

Changing the Remote Battery Requires 3v CR2032 coin cell battery.
