THE STORY
“Some dreams are worth figh0ng for” Love is never an easy ma;er, especially for Yasmine. The boy of her dreams, Adi is back in town but he hooks up with Dewi, her long(me rival. Tired of her school and (ed up in an underdog Silat club, she decides to take ma;ers into her own hands and start leading the team. At first, Yasmine’s secret ac(vi(es are well hidden. However, when her father eventually finds out, he decides once and for all to save Yasmine from what he believes to be her downfall.

PRODUCER Din Kamaluddin has always had a passion for film and business. While studying for his Bachelor’s Degree in Interna(onal Business from UiTM Melaka and a Master’s Degree in the same course from Brunel University, he would oRen take on the role of Art Director in various TV commercials and corporate videos under Origin Ar(s(c Management, Origin Films Sdn Bhd’s adver(sing-‐based sister company. ARer gradua(ng Din decided to put both his passions into prac(ce and produce his first feature film “Yasmine”.
About Origin Films Sdn Bhd: Origin Films Sdn Bhd is a film produc(on company based in Brunei Darussalam. With an extensive background in documentaries, music videos, TV commercials and various mul(media projects, the mission of Origin Films is to promote local talent and achieve interna(onal success.
DIRECTOR Si( Kamaluddin has had a wealth of experience onscreen and behind the scenes. She began her career as a writer and TV host in Brunei Darussalam for the youth-‐oriented show “Orange Room” which she both hosted and wrote. She also hosted the music reality show “Passport 2 Fame” (P2F). From there she became the manager of Zul F, the Contestant winner of P2F and took the local music scene by storm being the first to ever market a Bruneian ar(st outside of Brunei and airing his music video in the regional MTV channel. She then set up Origin Ar(s(c Management, a leading produc(on company, where she has produced and directed TV Commercials and documentaries for some of Brunei’s largest corporate clients including Royal Brunei Airlines, Baiduri Bank and DST. Si( has also been involved in the produc(on of the successful box office feature films, “Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah” and “Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa”, and has recently completed her film “Mentari” (2014).
ACTION DIRECTOR Chan Man Ching has over 30 years of experience in the Film industry and has become a prominent name in the Stunt world with a long list of works from Hollywood to the regional film market. He began his career in stunts under the renowned ac(on director Stephen Tung Wei before joining the Jackie Chan Stunt Team as a stunt coordinator and choreographer working in such renowned films as “The Legend of the Drunken Master 2”, “Rumble In the Bronx“ as well as “Rush Hour 1, 2 & 3”. He has also pursued work outside of the Jackie Chan Team most no(ceably with “Hell Boy 2 – The Golden Army” and now “Yasmine”.
SCREENWRITER Salman Aristo is an Indonesian screenwriter and film producer/director best known for his work on “Ayat-‐Ayat Cinta”, “Laskar Pelangi”, “Garuda di Dadaku”, and “Sang Penari”. Born in Jakarta, Aristo became interested in films from a young age, though he did not consider a career in the industry un(l aRer gradua(ng from university. At the sugges(on of a friend he wrote his first screenplay, “Tak Pernah Kembali Sama”. With feedback on the script from director Rudy Soedjarwo and aRer a period reading old, successful scripts, Aristo, at the (me, a film reviewer for a magazine befriended Hanung Bramantyo who then asked him to write a script about brownies. The resul(ng film, a cri(cal success, led to Aristo receiving numerous requests for screenplays, including several adapta(ons of novels. He has been nominated for three Citra Awards for screenwri(ng and in 2010 he made his directorial debut with “Jakarta Maghrib”.

MAIN CAST LIYANA YUS as YASMINE Liyana Yus (born 1993) is a new up-‐and-‐coming actress from Brunei Darussalam. She has prac(cally grown up in the entertainment industry (her father is a musician and her mother a make-‐up ar(st) and has always known that ac(ng was her calling. This on-‐screen natural has modeled for several small-‐scale local brands and aRer winning over the producers and directors’ hearts with her natural beauty and athle(cism she was selected from hundreds of applicants -‐ both experienced and amateur -‐ for the lead role of Yasmine. Liyana plays Yasmine, a girl who is both adventurous and confident. She is an only child which contributes to her confident personality.
MAIN CAST REZA RAHADIAN as FAHRI Reza Rahadian (born 1987) is an Indonesian actor who rose to prominence following his role in “Perempuan Berkalung Sorban”. Born in Jakarta, he took up ac(ng while in senior high school and made his feature film debut in 2004. Since receiving his first Citra Award in 2009 he has acted in over a dozen films ranging from comedies and romances to dramas and biopics. Reza plays the part of Fahri, Yasmine’s father. He is stern but he loves his daughter very much. This is reflected throughout the film as he portrays the role of a single parent to his daughter.
MAIN CAST AGUS KUNCORO as JAMAL Agus Kuncoro (born 1972) is an Indonesian actor. He started his career in the early 1990s with soap operas, making his feature-‐film debut in two ac(on films several years later. He received two nomina(ons for Citra Award for Best Suppor(ng Actor at the 2011 Indonesian Film Fes(val. The following year Kuncoro starred in the football-‐themed prison drama “Tim Bui”, a 13-‐part series broadcast on Metro TV. At the 2012 Bandung Film Fes(val Kuncoro received Best Actor for his performance. Agus plays the part of Jamal, a Silat Teacher who was crippled many years before aRer a fateful fight. In his wheelchair and with the help of his assistant, he trains Yasmine, Ali and Nadia un(l they succeed winning a place in the finals of the interschool Silat compe((on.
MAIN CAST DWI SASONO as TONG LUNG Dwi (born 1980) is an Indonesian actor best known for starring in “Mendadak Dangdut” in 2006. In 2007 “Dwi Sasono” was nominated for the MTV Movie Awards in the category of Best Actor, Best Suppor(ng Actor and Best Breakthrough Actor. Dwi plays Tong Lung the Sekolah Tinggi Shahbandar’s (Yasmine’s School) Silat Club Teacher. He runs the Silat club and trains Yasmine, Ali and Nadia by employing unique and unorthodox methods.
MAIN CAST NADIAH WAHID as NADIA MALIK
An up-‐and-‐coming Bruneian talent Nadiah plays the part of Nadia Malik, one of Yasmine’s classmates in her new school and fellow Silat club member. Together with Ali, the two girls form a Silat trio for their school and embark on an incredible journey.
MAIN CAST ROY SUNGKONO as ALI Roy Sungkono (born 1990) is an Indonesian actor most popularly known for soap operas. He has starred in popular shows such as “Somad”, “Putu Mayang Cinta”, “Ada Cinta Di Kuburan”, “Cintaku Di Rantang Susun”, “Aladdin” and “Nada Cinta”. Roy plays Ali, one of Yasmine’s classmates and fellow Silat club member. Ali builds an unforge;able friendship with Nadia and Yasmine and the Silat trio becomes inseparable.
SUPPORTING CAST NABILA HUDA as NURUL Nabila Huda (born 1984) is an actress from Malaysia. She has fast gained fame playing antagonist characters in feature films such as “Rock”, “Akhirat”, “Bohsia: Jangan Pilih Jalan Hitam”, “Pisau Cukur” and “Duhai Si Pari-‐pari”. Nabila is the eldest child of rock legend Amy from the band Search. She has been nominated in FFM22 and Anugerah Skrin 2009 for best actress playing the role of Tasha in “Bohsia: Jangan Pilih Jalan Hitam”, as well as FFM21 for best suppor(ng actress as Noni in “Akhirat”. Nabila plays the part of Nurul, one of Yasmine’s dearest and oldest friends.
SUPPORTING CAST ARYL FALAK as ADI Aryl Falak (born 1989) is an up-‐and-‐coming actor with a background in health and fitness working as a gym instructor. Aryl plays the role of na(onal Silat ‘hero’ and hear;hrob Adi, who is Yasmine’s dream boy.

Mentari De Marelle (born 1996) is an up-‐and-‐coming Indonesian model/ actress who was a finalist for GADIS Sampul 2011 with the theme: Hit the Runway “It’s A Fashion Party”. Mentari plays the role of Dewi who is the current na(onal female Silat champion and Yasmine’s arch rival.
CAMEOS DATO’ M. NASIR as DATUK RAJA NAN HITAM Dato’ Mohamad Nasir Mohamad or M. Nasir (born 1957) is an award-‐ winning Singapore-‐born Malaysian with an immense resume as a poet, singer-‐songwriter, composer, producer, actor and film director. Viewed as a living legend by the industry, he has kept his Malay roots eminent in all of his works and has notched up a string of awards in each of his entertainment endeavors. Dato’ M Nasir plays the role of a fallen Silat warrior who prac(ces dark Silat moves. He lives alone and there are rumors that he s(ll secretly prac(ces the dark arts and even takes in appren(ces to carry on his legacy.
CAMEOS DIAN P RAMLEE as YASMINE’S GRANDMOTHER Dian P Ramlee is a Malaysian actress and TV personality with a legendary family background being the adop(ve child of the late Tan Sri P Ramlee and Saloma. Dian is today a regular in cinema, television movies and drama series such as “Bisikan Cinta”, “Syurga Cinta”, “Kami the Movie”, “Niyang Rapik”, “Sepi”, “Janji Diana” and “Aku Masih Dara”. Her television series and dramas include “Idaman”, “Tiada Yang Kedua”, “Miang Buluh Keladi Birah”, “Melukut Tepian Gantang”, “Dari KL Ke Queenstown”, “Diva-‐Diva Pencen”, “Mus(ka”, “Za( Dan Mawas” and “Gelora Di Ha( Sara”. Soo Wincci (Pinyin: Sū Yíngzhī) is a Malaysian television personality and former beauty queen. She was Miss World Malaysia and represented Malaysia in the Miss World 2008 beauty pageant. Her pageant status led to her being appointed the first ever Chinese spokesperson for AVON ANEW SKIN in Malaysia, ambassador of peace for Universal Peace Federa(on, ambassador of the Red Crescent Society and numerous other ambassador roles.
