7

Leave nothing behind but the finest cut possible.

8

Power all along the line. Not only does the Z900 lineup have the widest breadth of horsepower choices, they also have larger displacement block in all of their engines.

Mowing Performance

Nothing in the industry matches our 7-Iron PRO deck: stamped out of 7-gauge steel, nor our exclusive Mulch on Demand™ deck. But mowing performance is about more than just the mowing deck. Start with speed: the Z900s have an impressive 10-12 mph (16.1-19.3 km/h). And even on our smaller engines, we have increased displacement for more power. Offset front caster wheels help improve inside corner trim performance and also help reduce between-blade striping. We re-distributed weight on our frame, moving it from the front to the rear, so you can mow with confidence on hillsides.

A solid foundation. Deck drive. Count on these decks running smooth day after day, thanks to all metal, deep and extra-wide pulleys, and optimum belt alignment, no matter what cutting height you choose.

ZTrak™ PRO 900 Series

The C-Channel frames on the Z900 are rock-solid, indestructible foundations. And a redistribution of weight, from front to rear, including a cast iron bumper, has made side-hill mowing a breeze.

9

Sports-car handling and confident traction everywhere you mow.

Whether you’re tracing a flowerbed edge, mowing a sidehill (or even doing a figure eight), you want a transmission with lightning-quick responsiveness, and traction that never quits. With the Z900, you get both. Lever position minimizes the motion required to make a turn, and an all-new integrated ground drive transmission offers the security of dual pumps plus ingenious reliability enhancements. And these unique engineering enhancements prevent “crabbing” or sliding on hills—even under tough mowing conditions. Stays cool on hills. Unique cross-porting system routes the coolest hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump doing the most work. But we didn’t stop there. For long life, our transmissions also feature a piston wheel motor and internal wet disk brakes, and for performance, we added gear reduction drives to enhance torque to the drive wheels. 10

An integrated ground drive system gives the Z900 line exceptional controllability, especially on side-hill mowing operations. Improved power and redistribution of weight has also improved performance.

Made to perform.

Smoother Handling

Surgically precise control. A smaller range of motion for the control levers, and tuned response time, means the system reacts smoothly to even the smallest movements by the operator.

A gear reduction drive in the wheel motor adds mechanical muscle, increasing the torque available over a purely hydraulic system.

ZTrak™ PRO 900 Series 11

Ride nothing but a machine that makes your life easier. Easy on, easy off. And everything else in between. From the very start, the Z900 is an operator’s dream, thanks to our exclusive Brake & Go™ system. To start the machine, all you need is for the foot-actuated parking brake to be engaged. Easy is everywhere: a dial-in height of cut adjustment is located right on the control arm. Easy to see fuel gauge. On-board self-diagnostics. And run-flat tires that keep you going no matter what. We also make it safe to get on the Z900, thanks to a solid steel deck entry step. And our ANSI-certified ROPS featuring 3 positions.

Ease of Use

ROPS (rollover protective structure)

BRAKE & GO™ System To put a Z900 into motion, all you have to do is set the parking brake with your foot and turn the key. It’s that simple. No need to put the control levers in a certain position.

Ergonomic height-of-cut adjustment dial makes setting cut height simple and easy. The height-of-cut range is 1.5 to 5.0 inches at 1/4 in. increments. This simple mechanical design ensures superior performance and long life. A transport lock keeps your deck in place when loading and unloading.

High Back Seat Professionals deserve to ride in comfort. This deep-cushioned, high-back chair has standard armrests for the ultimate ride. Extra-thick foam cushioning keep the bumps and jolts to a minimum.

These ergonomically angled control levers come with thick padded grips. What’s more, the levers contain built-in electronic controls that let you raise or lower the deck as well as disengage the mower blades all with the push of a button.

Electronic Fuel Injection

Introducing the

ZTrak™ PRO Z925 with Electronic Fuel Injection With the Z925 EFI, you have a commercial-grade zero-turn mower with an engine that optimizes power, performance, and efficiency in all mowing conditions. Which results in superior reliability, less downtime and up to 25% fuel savings. When you combine an engine like this with exclusive features like the Mulch On Demand deck, you’ll soon discover that the Z925 EFI ends up saving you considerable time and money. It’s a combination that can maximize the time you spend mowing, every day.

Stump the pump. An engine that knows when it needs gas . . . and when it doesn’t.

With a closed loop system, the engine actually senses unused oxygen in the exhaust multiple times per second. This means the engine can vary the amount of fuel injected appropriately and ensure no excess fuel is injected. The result is a fuel efficiency gain, with savings up to 25%.

For operators with multiple fleets, it’s easy to see how a machine like the Z925 EFI can instantly impact your bottom line.

ZTrak™ PRO 900 Series

The Z925 EFI is a closed loop fuel injection system. Which means it allows just the right amount of fuel and spark to be provided to the engine at the right time, thus improving engine performance. Within the closed loop system, sensors are used to constantly monitor and guide the performance of the engine.

15

Strength: you’re either stamped with it or you’re not. The strongest welds in the world are no match for a deck that is stamped out of thick steel. It takes 4,000,000 pounds of pressure to turn a sheet of 7-gauge steel into the backbone of the best mower deck in the industry: the 7-Iron PRO. 5.5 inches deep, the 7-Iron PRO deck houses blades that run at a speed of 18,000 feet per minute for more blades strikes per inch mowed and more acres perday. Stamped with strength and refined with a precision cut, no other deck in the industry has matched the 7-Iron deck for performance and durability. Best of all, it’s green, which means it’s backed by the best people in the business.

This is how you build one of the best deck in the commercial mowing business: by using 4,000,000 pounds of pressure. That’s the only way you can stamp a perfectly formed shell of 7-gauge steel. No other deck in the industry outperforms the 7-Iron PRO.

16

7-Iron™ Deck

Reinforced Deck A full-wrap reinforcement makes the toughest deck even tougher. Plus a heavy-duty deck step gives solid footing and easy entry and exit into and off the operator’s seat.

Gauge Wheels Center and rear anti-scalp wheels, and double captured anti-scalp wheels make sure the 7-Iron PRO deck always provides unmatched cut quality. Gauge wheels can be found on six points around the deck.

A deep-deck design of 5.5-in. delivers excellent airflow so clippings can be processed quickly and efficiently. The wider and higher discharge opening provides even clipping dispersal in all conditions.

The one-inch cold-forged spindles are heat-treated for strength and are supported by ball bearings, which helps support a blade tip speed that runs at an industry best 18,000 feet per minute. The spindle housings are made of ribbed cast aluminum for both strength and heat dissipation.

Nothing beats the deck that can mulch and side-discharge on demand. Switch from side-discharging to mulching—and back again—by simply pulling a lever; there is no need to stop and install any additional baffles. When engaged, the baffles close off the cutting chambers, allowing the deck to mulch. When disengaged, the baffles fold to the front of the deck, allowing it to side discharge. With it’s outstanding side-discharge performance, windrows are history with the 7-Iron PRO Mulch on Demand™ deck— even in tall or thick grass. It’s designed to save you time, especially when you’re cutting by sidewalks, parking lots and plant beds, enabling you to engage the mulching mode when you need it. The flexibility to switch from side discharging to mulching effortlessly and safely helps you get the most from every acre and every hour.

Clipping control. The MOD deck allows you to keep sidewalks and driveways clean as possible as you mow along their edges. While you still may have to blow clippings on occasion, the MOD deck will keep your blower time at bay.

18

It starts with 7-Iron The MOD deck has, as its foundation, the legendary 7-Iron PRO deck. Which means it’s stamped from a single sheet of thick, seven gauge steel using four million pounds of pressure.

By shifting the lever to mulch position, the movable gate closes off the discharge chute and the smooth moving baffles close off cutting chambers to maximize mulching performance. The MOD deck also has, as its foundation, the legendary 7 Iron PRO deck. Which means it’s stamped from a single sheet of thick, seven gauge steel using four million pounds of pressure.

Good for the environment. In this day and age, being green is not only good for the Earth, it’s also good for business. The benefits of mulching are many: putting nitrogen back in the soil, reducing your carbon footprint by cutting down on waste, and mulching leaves.

You should also consider that it may not only be clippings coming out of your chute. Sometimes, a rock or a piece of wood can be thrown in the wrong direction. By putting the MOD in mulch position, it’s a safe bet you’ll never hit one of these.
