Course Descriptions ENG 010 0 Credits (A1 CEFR) This course is an integrated language skills class that provides low-level students with a range of language learning experiences organized around everyday topics and content. Students learn to write basic sentences patterns, read texts of approximately 150 words, listen to conversations and talks of approximately 3 minutes, and engage in short conversations on familiar topics. They study the first 500 most frequent words in English and grammar structures to support simple communication. Students also receive training in study skills and IT. ENG 020 0 Credits (A2 CEFR) This course is an integrated language skills class that provides elementary student with a range of language learning experiences organized around familiar topics and content. Students learn to write basic paragraphs, read texts of approximately 200 words, understand aural texts of approximately 4 minutes, and conduct short conversations and presentations on familiar topics. They study the first 1000 most frequent words in English and grammar structures to support communication. Students also receive training in study skill and IT. Levels 5 & 6 0 Credits (B1 CEFR) These courses are integrated language skills classes that provide low-intermediate to intermediate students with a range of language learning experiences organized around societal topics and content. Students learn to write basic essays of 3-4 paragraphs, read texts of approximately 400 words, understand aural texts of approximately 6 minutes, and participate in short group discussions and presentations on course-related topics. They study the first 1500 most frequent words in English and grammar structure to support cohesive communication. Student also receive training in study skills, IT and basic information literacy. Level 7 0 Credit (B1+ CEFR) This course is an integrated language skills class that provides students with a range of language learning experiences based around four main themes. Grammar, vocabulary, information literacy, and IT are taught in conjunction with various activities and tasks as students work to achieve the various learning objectives of this course. Student study the first 1750 most frequent words in English and grammar to support cohesive communication. b. College of Business 1. On Page 53 under admission criteria they listed the two MTH courses “MTH 113 & MTH 213” as Col courses COL 113& COL 213 2. On page 62 under the Joint degree, BUS 301 title is wrong - Management of People in Organizations. The correct title is (Human Resource Management). At the same time, it is not listed that the students need to take the pre-requisite of BUS 301 which is BUS 309? 3. On page 64 under Major in Finance they listed the title of BUS 310 as Introduction to Management and the correct title is Introduction to Marketing 4. On page 180 under course description they didn’t put Col 110 as pre-requisite of BUS 202 5. On Page 181 BUS 301 title is wrong the correct title is Human Resource Management 6. On page 183 BUS 452 title is wrong (HR development & Performance) the correct title is “Learning and Development” 7. Under College of Technological Innovation page 115 Joint degree curriculum plan, they listed the title of BUS 209 as intro to management while the correct one is Management Decision Sciences.
