YOUTH ATHLETICS

Youth Athletics Classes taught by All Star Sports Instructors. All programs focus on learning teamwork and sportsmanship.

Adult/Tot Super Sports Bond with your child while learning a variety of sports. This class improves simple motor skills such as catching, throwing, batting, shooting, passing, running, and helps develop handeye coordination. Parents participate with the child as we play soccer, basketball, hockey, t-ball, football, and other sports.

Super Sports This is for the all-around athlete or for a child who wants to take a shot at different sports! Stay active and work on balance, motor skills, and hand-eye coordination while learning the rules of baseball, football, floor hockey, soccer, basketball, and more. We focus on a new sport each class and work on basic rules and mechanics as we play games that keep everyone moving. There’s no reason to pick a sport when you can play them all!

Soccer Stay active and engaged, both mentally and physically! Our lesson plan hides drills in fun games and uses association techniques at the players’ level. Soccer is an action-packed game, so there is no sitting and waiting! We cover simple foot skills, dribbling, passing, shooting, basic rules, and work on spreading the field. This class not only keeps the players active but is also a great base to prepare them for the next level of play.

Soccer Skills This program is designed with speed and agility drills to improve each player’s game by allowing for a more powerful shot, increased range on the field, and efficient change of direction. All basic skills of dribbling, shooting, passing, and spacing are covered. Players learn the importance of movement away from the ball and of each position through game situations. Please bring a water bottle, shin guards, and soccer ball (recommended size 4).

Floor Hockey Learn the game before the skates go on! Players learn the proper mechanics of stick handling, puck control, passing, and shooting. Offensive and defensive strategies are also covered while keeping the players active and engaged. Our instructors also focus on safety and rules, as contact is not allowed.

Speed & Agility This class helps increase your child’s speed and agility in their sport of preference. We help your child obtain that extra element to their game that lets them excel on the field or court. We focus on skills such as running form, start/stop speeds, directional change/acceleration, and fun games to improve overall skills.

Basketball Our instructional program teaches basketball at a basic level while keeping players active and engaged through fun games. Our foundation technique focuses on basic mechanics to build confidence, then adds larger challenges as we progress. Footwork is an extremely important aspect of the game. No players are sitting! We work on dribbling with each hand, passing and shooting technique, and understanding basic offense and defense.

Basketball Skills We focus on individual skills as well as team play. Each session begins with speed and agility drills that enhance each player’s ability to get up and down the court quickly, generate rapid change of direction, and create explosion to the basket. Sessions cover ball handling, proper shooting technique, footwork, and defensive/offensive strategies. Small-sided competitions and game play enable each player to work on learned skills.

T-Ball Our coaching technique provides basic building blocks in a fun, safe environment. Mechanics and hand-eye coordination are the keys to early success. Players become more confident as we work on the proper mechanics of catching, throwing, fielding, base running, and batting. This program prepares players for level II, t-ball, or coach pitch leagues.

Baseball Skills Our top notch baseball trainers cover the importance of proper throwing mechanics, rotational hitting, bunting, fielding, pitching and catching. Speed and agility are added to increase core strength and mobility for added bat speed, range in the field and linear speed for base running. In-game strategies are taught to increase each player’s overall knowledge. Equipment: Please bring a water bottle and glove (may bring own bat).

Pitching/Fielding This class helps develop your baseball player’s pitching and fielding fundamentals. We work on balance, power, and control in both areas. Drills and games help your athlete develop and become the player they want to be. Participants need to bring their own glove.

Baseball Hitting Our hitting class helps your child develop the mechanics of a proper swing. Balance is emphasized as well as working on driving the ball where it is pitched. Games and drills are used for every class. Participants need to bring their own bat.

Lacrosse Learn the game of lacrosse in a fun and safe environment. Many mechanical skills are taught while also covering game time situations and strategies. This class is for both girls and boys. Helmet, eye protection, and gloves are needed.
