Civil Ceremonies & Partnerships Ceremony Content The couple should agree the content of the ceremony with the Superintendent Registrar in advance. Any music, readings, words or performance that form any part of the ceremony, must be secular in nature.

Booking The couple are responsible for contacting the Southampton Registration Office to arrange a Registrar for the chosen day. Bookings of any room for a ceremony cannot be accepted without confirmation of the availability. The Admiral’s Room

The Trafalgar Room

Licensed for civil ceremonies, the Admiral’s room is situated on the upper floor of the Clubhouse. Flooded with light and with stunning views of the Ocean Village Marina, it is perfect for smaller private ceremonies and wedding breakfast for up to 60 guests.

The Trafalgar room is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies and also allows spectacular views of the yachts. Adjacent to the restaurant, the Trafalgar room has a calm and relaxed air and is perfect for an intimate wedding for close family and friends. Up to 20 guests will be surrounded by more of the Club’s impressive heritage memorabilia adorning the walls.

We offer a variety of flexible options for your reception, whether the ceremony is at the venue or elsewhere, but our experience has shown that an understanding of proposed timings is vitally important to ensure the day flows.

Catering Options Available All our menus are prepared by our executive chef Glenn Shears, who in conjunction with our coordinators, will prepare a selection of options based on your requests and budget, which can be sampled prior to selection. We are able to offer a wide variety of catering, from canapes, buffets, formal dinner type menus, or barbeques, all of which are prepared on the premises from carefully selected seasonal ingredients, locally sourced.

The Clubhouse Lounge The Clubhouse Lounge is situated at the heart of the Club offering panoramic views of the marina. The room is perfect for wedding breakfasts and seated dinners. The flexible partitions allow different configurations for private dining for up 80 guests as well as access to the restaurant area for even larger celebrations.

The Clubhouse Lounge also includes an integral dance floor, available for evening receptions at your request. It is the perfect room for a live band or a disco with additional disco lighting and mirror ball, ideal for such occasions. A broad, wooden balcony, spanning all three side of the Lounge, offers outdoor seating and lots of possibilities.

The doors in the Clubhouse Lounge can be opened up to offer you and your guests full access to the whole restaurant and bar. On view here are the historic trophies awarded to the sailors down the years since the Club received its Royal warrant in 1875!

The location is absolutely unique and stunning and the staff made the process of planning and preparing stress free and painless. The day went so smoothly and the took everything in their stride. The venue is beautiful with a ceremony room upstairs, a bar integrated into the reception area (to keep guests dancing), dance floor, balcony areas with views over the harbour, impressive front entrance which looks great in photos, clean toilets, event he chance to go down onto the pontoon for photos. The food was spectacular, the chef is a true perfectionist and tailormade a menu especially for us. RSYC is happy to advise and suggest things but will leave as much as you want up to you (for example, we made our own decorations and stationery, but the venue can do it for you). From the moment Becca took on the organisation of our wedding she was prompt, efficient and conscientious; she made us feel relaxed and that everything was under control. On the day she and the staff were friendly and professional, and everything ran like clockwork. They also really look like they enjoyed the event which made a difference! They were really flexible and Becca did everything she could to make our lives easier. Even the next day pick-up at the venue was made really easy by the thoughtful staff at RSYC. I can’t praise or thank the venue highly enough… it was perfect!!”

Loss or Damage

The Client is responsible for any loss or damage caused to the Club property or equipment hired to the client, by the client or the client’s guests. 5.

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation by the client, the Club will try and mitigate any potential lose; however should this not be possible the client remains responsible for those costs.

7.

Health & Safety

The client and their guests are responsible to act in a manner that would not pose a danger to themselves or others. They should also comply with any advice provided for their safety, by a member of Club staff. 8.

Finishing Times

Finishing times are agreed to ensure the celebrations are licenced and as such extensions to these times are not permitted. 9.

Champagne & Wines

It is possible to not purchase wines through the Club; however the Club will be entitled to charge an additional corkage fee for this provision. 10.

Numbers Attending

Once guests’ numbers attending have been agreed, these will be the minimum numbers charged for. It may be possible to increase these numbers at a later date.
