Every JT Broadband and JT Fibre plan has UNLIMITED off peak usage and a monthly peak time usage allowance. Every time you look at a web site, watch a TV programme on catch up, upload a photo or do anything that uses the Internet you are sending and receiving data from the web. This is what we mean by usage. Usage is measured in megabytes or ‘MB’ and every file is made up of a number of megabytes. Larger files, such as HD movies may even be measured in gigabytes or ‘GB’. The table on the left gives an idea of the typical sizes for some popular online activities, but you can track your monthly usage via the ‘My JT Account’ section on our website or by downloading our handy app, see www. jtglobal.com for more. Your Broadband usage is based on the total amount of data uploaded and downloaded via your connection during the peak time hours of 8am and midnight. All online activity during the off peak hours of midnight to 8am is unlimited.

Getting connected It’s easy to get connected, simply follow these steps: 1. C  hoose the landline plan and talk bundle that’s best for you. Then select the JT broadband plan that matches the way you use the internet. 2. A  lternatively if you would like to combine your mobile, broadband and landline for a complete home service product select our JT One plan. 3. If you’re an existing JT customer simply call us on 882 882 and we will arrange for your services to be connected. 4. If you’re a new customer you will have to complete a new account application form in the JT store at 18 Queen Street. Please bring a valid form of photo ID and proof of address with you. If you’re an existing JT Landline customer and want to add JT Broadband to your account, simply call us on 882 882. Similarly if you’re an existing JT Broadband customer and you want to change your broadband plan call us on 882 882. We will process the order quickly and easily over the phone. Engineering charges If you need any extra work doing, such as having extra phone points fitted, we’ll send an engineer round on a date that suits you. There’s an initial standard call-out charge which includes the first 30 minutes of labour, with labour charged for every half hour after that. These charges don’t include any materials or equipment, which will be added to your bill. Please note call out charges differ for evening, weekend, overnight and bank holidays.
