Amsterdam has many different faces… Everyone knows the 165 romantic canals with the 1281 bridges, more than 600,000 cycles, the sparkling nightlife and the flower market. Every neighbourhood has got it’s own character. The Heren-, the Prinsen- and the Keizerscanal are recognizable by the luxurious, typical Dutch, mansions. In the different centuries, the buildings were adapted to the ruling trend. De Jordaan is maybe the most interesting and cosy neighbourhood of Amsterdam. Everyone will feel like he is home in the most romantic area of the Netherlands. Every tourist has heard of it even before he ever put a step in Amsterdam: The red light district is world famous! The area around the Old Church has certainly established it’s name, the red lights are burning! Beside this, the city offers many other sights, excellent shopping opportunities and various exhibitions in 50 museums, like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum and the Rembrandthouse. Every day you can choose from various concerts and theatre performances.

Amsterdam has got it all!

The guests arrive on Schiphol Airport in the morning Arrival For now we calculate that everyone will be arriving on the same flight. Upon arrival the guests take their luggage and clear customs. In the arrival hall the guests are waited upon by our staff. The guests will be guided to the coach that is standing ready for departure to the city centre. Upon arrival at the city centre, the coach will drop the guests off at Restaurant Fifteen and will take the luggage to the hotel. Restaurant Fifteen Bruscetta Lunch, four types of Bruscetta’s… Fifteen Amsterdam is no ordinary restaurant. It is based on the successful concept of Jamie Oliver’s restaurant Fifteen in London, and continues his vision which is to give 15-20 youngsters every year the opportunity to change their lives and train to become chefs. The sixth group of new apprentices started their training last September.

Your logo here After the lunch in restaurant Fifteen, the guests walk to the ready standing bikes behind the restaurant. The guests are briefed by our staff about the afternoon programme. After the briefing, where the guests get an elaborate introduction of biking in Amsterdam (the do´s and don’ts) and the rules of the bike tour, the guests get on their way in groups of approx 6 – 8 persons. The difference with a regular bike tour is that the guests are going by themselves without guidance. They are given a booklet with numbered questions and a separate map with those numbers on it. The numbers are in different colors corresponding with 5 / 10 or 15 point questions. In the booklet and on the map there are 2 mandatory questions, where we want guests to stop. At those stops, our staff will be there to give them a Dutch treat. We have one lady in traditional Dutch clothing on the canal with a platter of herring and one stop is at a location where we have a poffertjes boat laying, where the guests get a portion of Dutch Poffertjes (small pancakes). A cool, free an interesting way to discover the city.

Your logo here The bike tour ends at restaurant Werck in the Jordaan district. Here the guests can have a drink and a snack. In the meantime our staff will tally the points and a ‘Dutch’ price is given to the winning team. This is a fun and interactive way to get acquainted with the city, we therefore suggest this for the first day. The guests are transferred to the hotel of your choice, where one of our staffmembers have set up the group check in. Guests simply pick up their roomkey and walk to their room where their luggage is waiting for them. In the evening the guests are transferred to restaurant Supperclub If you are looking for an ordinary restaurant Supperclub is not for you. But if you feel like a complete night out and a unique experience, it is the place to be. Supper Club Amsterdam offers international allure. This successful restaurant chain has branches in singapore, San Fransisco and Istanbul.

A mix of entertainment and surprising taste combinations makes this an extraordinary experience. During diner you can enjoy music, art and performances. After dinner you can stay for a dance, because then DJ’s s spin their records and provide a cool party.

Restaurant BoCinq

At the end of October 2009, Bo Cinq quietly opened its doors in the heart of Amsterdam’s nightlife district. Bo Cinq keeps it’s best secrets for friends and explorers. Hidden behind two entrances, one with terrace, at the Prinsengracht 494 and at the Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 93 – 95 one can find a refined eatery and two spacious lounges one of which is dedicated to the old-fashioned joy of smoking a cigarette.

The essence of Bo Cinq’s philosophy lies in the fusion between French and Arabic cuisine, which come together in an adventurous and elegant menu. Fresh, healthy and if possible biological, under the inspiring guidance of chefs Marilyn Lukies and Mohammed Mahraoui an international team of chefs presents an intriguing mix between casual and formal dishes. Bo Cinq’s concept is designed by creative director Stef Bakker shown in the space and interior. Old walls and floors are displayed giving the original building a unique stylish and modern look. The eye-catcher of the establishment is the 24 meters long bar where the dedicated staff serves a wide variety of drinks and finger foods.

Day 2 Saturday

The guests enjoy breakfast in the hotel. In the morning the guests are brought to the pick up location of the 2 CV’s. There are 47 well maintained 2CV’s or as the Dutch call them ‘lelijke eendjes’ (ugly ducks) available. Normally we calculate 4 persons per car, so we will need 15 2CV’s. After a briefing on driving safely the guests start driving in teams through the polder landscape of North Holland. No highways or bigger motorways, but small roads with twists and turns through the beautiful landscape, through picturesque villages and typical Dutch scenery. A great way to experience The Netherlands outside Amsterdam! Programme layout (suggestion only) 09.00 Departure coach from Hotel 09.30 Welcome at ducktrail facility with coffee / tea and cake 09.45 Start briefing by tourleaders 10.15 Departure 11.00 Visit to typcail Dutch cheesefarm for cheestasting 12.00 Arrival at the mills of Schermerhorn for team activity and visit 12.45 Arrival at lunch venue, final team activity 12.45 - 13.15 Lunch and price ceremony - Convoi back to starting location 15.00 Eind ducktrail 15.30 Arrival at hotel in Amsterdam

The guests enjoy breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast they are transferred to IJmuiden. IJmuiden serves as the gateway to Amsterdam and is famous for it’s harbor, but also for the blast furnaces. What many don’t know is that IJmuiden has a wonderful beach.

After the guests have warmed up with a glass of hot coco or something stronger we walk with them onto the beach where a group of kites and blow karts await them. As a third activity we suggest beach golf. This is a fun activity that is fun for all the guests. It requires quite some skill to hit the ball in the proper direction. The guests will get a change to experience the forces of the North Sea wind first hand whilst trying out their strength and ability with the kites and blow karts.

The group will be split up in three smaller groups of each 20 persons and walk on the beach, where they rotate between the three stations after an extensive briefing.

Your logo here After the activities the guests walk back to Zilt aan Zee, where they will enjoy a beach bbq lunch: We suggest, Beef Entrecote, Salmon Brochette, Chicken Sate, Chorizo / Chipolata Grill sausage and a luxury vegetable brochette Various salads, like: pasta salad with grilled chicken and homemade curry mayonnaise, fresh green salad. bread with herbed butter, baked potato, 3 different homemade BBQ Sauces. After the lunch the guests are transferred back to the hotel. Approximate arrive back at the hotel is 16.00

The West-Indisch Huis ("West India House") is the former headquarters of the Dutch West India Company (West-Indische Compagnie, WIC) in Amsterdam. In this building, the WIC's governors in 1625 ordered the construction of a fort on the island of Manhattan, laying the foundations for New York City. The West-Indisch Huis is located on the Herenmarkt a small square between the Haarlemmerstraat and Brouwersgracht canal in the center of Amsterdam. The building was constructed in 1617 as a meat market (on the ground floor) and waiting room for the local militia (on the upper floor). In 1623 it was rented by the WIC, founded two years earlier, and was used until 1647 for meetings by the governing board of the WIC. During this time the building was expanded with two wings around a central courtyard, tripling the size of the building. In 1647, the WIC got into financial troubles and was forced to move to the West-Indisch Pakhuis, a WIC warehouse on the IJ waterfront, which thereafter became known as the WestIndisch Huis. In a later stage we would love to do some entertainment suggestions for this evening. After the evening, transfer back to the hotel. ** ** Walking from West Indisch Huis to coachstop is approx 5 minutes
