Online Donation Information & Instructions Welcome returning B-CC families and especially new student families to the world of B-CC Music. The Music Boosters are all of us—music student families and the B-CC community members who support the Grammy award-winning Music Department with our time, energy, and financial donations. Become an enthusiastic supporter of the B-CC music program to give our students the gift of music for a lifetime. The school relies upon donations to provide much-needed financial support for sheet music purchase, instrument repair (approximately $10,000 each year), teaching supplements for master classes, guest performers, and scholarships for the annual Spring Music Trip (totaling $6,000 last year). More information on the benefits of studying music and how your donation supports the B-CC Music Department can be found on the school’s Music Department website. When deciding how much to give, please keep in mind that the County eliminated the family-paid course/lab fee, there is no Music Boosters membership fee, your gift is tax-deductible (Montgomery County Public Schools Taxpayer Identification Number 52-6000989), and many families will not be able to donate money. Donation acknowledgements will be included in the Winter and Spring Concert Programs and you will receive a letter for your tax records. You may also recognize a music student, teacher, family, or friends by placing a boxed “Shout-Out” message in the concert programs. On behalf of the B-CC music students and staff, I ask you to be generous with your tax-deductible donation and to participate in the events and fundraisers. Together, we will get to know fellow music student families, support our wonderful teachers, Marshall White, Matt Hoffman, and Lisa Itkin, and provide an enriching experience for our students. Donations are made through the MCPS system (not Pay4SchoolStuffOnline) so it may be necessary for you to create an account—which we encourage you to do so that you can pay for all upcoming Music activities, including making a donation. To use the system, you will need either the User Name and Password that you created previously, or your student’s 6-digit school ID. [Note: A 3.75% fee for purchases made using this e-commerce system is accessed that does not provide a profit to the schools, it goes to OSMSInc., the company that manages the site.] The fee is a nuisance but replaces the arduous process of writing a check, addressing an envelope, paying for postage, finding a mailbox, wondering if it will arrive, then waiting for it to be handled and deposited. Sign In if you have an existing account or create an account.

Select Student from the pull down if you have an existing account, or create a Student Profile. Note you will need your student’s 6-digit school ID if you have not previously created a profile.

Select “Bethesda-Chevy Chase High” from the pull down and “MUSIC Dept Donations” should fill as the Obligation Type. Enter Total Donation Amount then describe the donation if it is for more than one activity. If sending a $25 “Shout-Out” include an up to 10-word message to be printed in the Winter and/or Spring Concert Programs in this field.

Click “Checkout” on the Shopping Cart page if the amount is correct or to update, click on the “MUSIC Dept Donations Bethesda-Chevy Chase High” hyperlink (note: the “Update” button does not seem to work).

“Add Student Profile” should not be necessary because that was requested on the Summary Obligation Payment page. If you don’t see your student’s name, you will need their 6-digit school ID to add a Student Profile.
