Please Review Followings Before Your Application 1. This guideline is for applying Master’s degree, Ph. D. degree and Joint(master and Ph. D) degree courses of Yonsei University Graduate School(YUGS-usually day lecture courses) admission. If you are to apply for Professional Graduate School(such as GSIS, Global MBA, Law School) or Special Graduate School(such as Graduate School of Public Health, Graduate School of Eduacation, usually night lecture courses) please follow the guidelines from those schools. 2. Process of applying is as follow; A. On-line Application (connect to apply page from http://graduate.yonsei.ac.kr) → After On-line Application is done, print your application form → Submit your printed application form with required documents to Graduate School Office (Graduate School Office of Yonsei University located in Stimson Hall 1F) B. If you are to use registered post(DHL or EMS) or courier service, please keep your registered number or transmittal letter. It will help you when you are tracking state your delivery from POST Track & Trace(http://parcel.epost.go.kr) or homepage of courier service that you are using. 3. After On-line Application is done on the web, your application will not be modified unless there were unavoidable situations such as error in application program or network. Hence, please make sure to fill in and select your information in application form precisely. Yonsei University is not liable for any consequences occurred due to applicants mistake. A. Select the right degree course in application form for international students. Applicants should select Master’s Degree Program for master’s, Doctor’s Degree Program for doctor’s and Combined Degree Program for combined courses. B. Be cautious not to make mistakes when entering name(both in Korean and English), date of birth, passport number, alien registration number, type of Visa, contact number, address and e-mail address. Wrongly filled information may disadvantage applicants in the process of evaluation. Be sure to double check your information. C. Your name in English, date of birth, passport number should be identical with information on your passport. D. Records of education, career, language skills and other official information you filled in On-line Application should have their proving documentations(such as degree certificate, proof of employment, certificate of language test result) and submitted to Graduation Office submission period. If not, those records will not be accepted and disadvantages will be given to applicant for a false entry in the process of evaluation. 4. Registration number given in the application form will be used for confirming your admission result. Please make sure that you have noted your number after application. 5.
Be aware that once On-line application is completed and admission fee is paid, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
6. After application period ended, no application will be submitted. If your required documentations are not submitted in your submission, additional submission of documentation will be allowed during submission period. Incomplete submission of required documents will be regarded as dropping out from application. Do not fail to submit all the documents we demand. - 2 -

Interview
▸ Interview candidates are notified individually via email or phone. ▸ Applicant who require interviews but refuse to have one will be excluded from the admission evaluation process ▸ The Department of Music will examine candidates by conducting a performance assessment instead of interview. → Please refer to (http://music.yonsei.ac.kr) for performance assessment date & place. ▸ For the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, interview will take place after the written examinations on the major and ancient text. ▸ For the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, interview will be composed of 4 subjects: Basic Circuits, Digital Logic Circuits, Signals and System, and Electronic Pneumatics. ▸ For the Department of Political Sciences, interview will take place after the written examination on English-to-Korean translation.

3. Applicants Qualifications YONSEI UNIVERSITY GRADUATE SCHOOL
○ Number of Admitted Students A limited number of students are offered admissions to each academic department or program.
○ Qualification ▸International Students Qualification Applicant must meet one of the three conditions A foreign national whose parents are both foreign nationals Completion of at least 16 years of education in foreign countries (equivalent to all of elementary, middle, high school and undergraduate) North Korean new settlers(Sae tomin)
▸Degree Qualification Master's Degree Program (1) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or expected to receive a bachelor's degree before the admissions period of the term the applicant is applying to) (2) Legally approved Educational attainment that is equivalent to bachelor's degree Ph.D. Degree Program (1) A master's degree from an accredited college or university (or expected to receive a master's degree before the admissions period of the term the applicant is applying to) (2) Legally approved Educational attainment that is equivalent to master's degree Joint (Master's & Ph.D.) Degree Program (1) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or expected to receive a bachelor's degree before the admissions period of the term the applicant is applying to) (2) Legally approved Educational attainment that is equivalent to master's degree ※ If a student is rejected from Joint Degree program, the application is automatically converted to Master's Degree Program as his/her second choice.(with exception to students in Dental Program) ※ Ph.D. diploma is awarded upon graduation (Master's degree is not awarded) ※ If joint degree was terminated and the requirements for the Master's degree are met, the student will be awarded the Master's degree
