Pastoral System Our Pastoral system is based on a House System. Every student will be placed in a House . Each student will also be placed in a tutor group which will be made up of students from their year group only. Each tutor will have responsibility for their tutor group and their academic and pastoral well-being. Our Pastoral Programme for the year focuses on the Olympic values of Respect, Friendship and exceLlence. all tutor groups will follow a series of activities which are linked to these values and which allow students to develop the spiritual, social, emotional and moral aspects of their learning. tutor time is a time to celebrate the successes of all students and to reflect on what makes them stand out from the crowd as they leave school and apply for jobs and college places. The tutors will work hard to ensure that students achieve well academically and in every other aspect of their lives. Our assembly programme includes regular ‘celebration’ assemblies where staff and students can share many successes of our students. there will be a number of opportunities throughout the year for students to participate in house activities where they can earn points for their house. house points will also be awarded for positive contributions to classwork and homework. these points should be recorded in the student planner. the director of key stage 3, along with your child’s form tutor, are available to discuss any concerns you may have about your child’s progress or welfare. please contact them via the school reception.
