XIII. UIPM Masters World Championships in Modern Pentathlon and Tetrathlon Berlin 2014 (Wednesday 17th September – Sunday 21st September 2014)

The UIPM Masters Committee and the German Masters Association for Modern Pentathlon and Tetrathlon would like to invite you and the delegation of your country to participate in the XIII. UIPM Masters World Championships in Modern Pentathlon and Tetrathlon from 17.09.2014 to 21.09.2014 in Berlin Germany.

PARTICIPATION &  M E D A L S Masters women and men can start from the age of 30 years. Age groups are in 10 years arrangement. Indiv. : Pentathlon women and men 1st-3rd place medals in all age groups, 10 years arrangement. Tetrathlon women and men 1st-3rd place medals in all age groups, 10 years arrangement. Team: Pentathlon women and men 1st-3rd place medals 30-59 and 60+ age group (Team: 4athletes) Tetrathlon women and men 1st-3rd place medals 30-59 and 60+ age group (Team: 4athletes) Relay: Pentathlon mixed 1st-3rd place medals open for all age groups ( Team: 1 woman+1 men) Pentathlon men 1st-3rd place medals open for all age groups ( Team: 2 men ) Tetrathlon mixed 1st-3rd place medals open for all age groups ( Team: 1 woman+1 men) Tetrathlon men 1st-3rd place medals open for all age groups (Team: 2 men ) Relays are conducted without combined event. All relay competitions will only take place if a minimum of 3 teams are registered per relay.

R U L E S    FOR INDIVIDUALS / TEAMS The competition will be carried out according to the UIPM Rules 2014 and Masters Rules 2014. Titels and medals will be issued according to the New Masters Rules 2014: 1.1 General Aspect 1.3 Format: 1.4 The Events: 1.5 Masters Participation:

RULES FOR RELAY *Riding: every athlete has to ride one parcours (max. 350 m) with 9 single obstacles . The Points table see UIPM /4. Event Rules Riding/Points Penalty Table 4B *Shooting: 15 minutes inclusive warming up. Every athlete shoots 2x5 shoots at 2 different targets. For team 172 circles = 250 points 1circle = +/- 3 points *Fencing: No.1 from team X against no.1 from teamY.No.2 from team X against No.2 from team Y. The Points table see UIPM /2.Event Rules Fencing/Appendix: 2.B.2 *Swimming: every athlete swims 50m then change. For team 100 m /1:18, 00 Min = 250 points; 0,5 Sec = +/- 1 points *Running: every athlete runs 1.000 m then change. For team 2.000 m / 07.45,0 Min. = 250 points; 01 Sec = +/- 1 points *Bonus points: For example Pentathlon: Competitor No.1 – age 55/ 94 points +competitor No.2 age 43/ 10 points = 104 points : 2 = total 52 points as team result

INSURANCE All members of the attending delegations have to insure themselves in case of accidental injury or illness. The organizer will not accept any responsibility financial or otherwise for loss, injury or illness of any delegation member.

FIREARMS Firearms licenses are a necessary requirement when bringing air and CO2 pistols into Germany for competition purposes

The Berlin airports can be reached to and fro easier by public transport than by car. The heavy traffic causes traffic jam most of the time especially during the rush hour. From Airport Tegel to Olympia Stadion Bus Nr. 128 to Underground Stop Kaiserdamm. There take the Underground line No.2 direction Spandau. Third stop is Olympic Stadium. Get off and turn right into Rominter Allee on foot. Next Street on the left turn into Hanns Braun Strasse. From Airport Schönefeld to Olympia Stadion The Shuttle-Bus ( every 10 Min. / free of charge ) goes to Schönefeld railway station.
