Alumni Updates James R Popplow, CD, MD, MSc, FACPM LCol (Ret'd) RCAF/RCMS Flight Surgeon Consultant in Aerospace, Occ & Env Medicine The big news from here is my actual and real retirement from the working world as of 30 Aug 2013. My last position was as a civilian contractor filling in as the Royal Canadian Air Force, Aeromedical Standards and Clinical Services (ASCS) Flight Surgeon. Back in 2007, due to an acute shortage of uniformed senior Flight Surgeons during recent overseas activities, I was recruited back into my old job, as a civilian. Canada is officially out of that commitment now and a new younger Flight Surgeon was posted in to allow my rather overdue retirement! I am coping well with "not going to work" and looking forward to the AsMA meeting in San Diego and seeing everyone again.
