Worldwide Licensing Website (LWS) Online Help LWS overview About LWS The Adobe Worldwide Licensing Website, LWS for short, is a web-based portal that lets different types of users perform licensing-related tasks. Adobe channel partners, resellers, end users, and Adobe Customer Service all use LWS. The content you see and the tasks you perform in LWS depend upon your company’s role, contract type, and other account details.

About AOO users Adobe Open Options (AOO) customers use LWS to view Adobe software licenses, contracts, and orders for Adobe software and maintenance. You can also use LWS to obtain your serial numbers, redeem coupons for software upgrades, generate reports, and accomplish several other tasks.

Logging into LWS When you log into LWS for the first time, use the password supplied to you by Adobe. LWS then prompts you to change your password. Passwords must contain eight characters, with at least one letter, one number, and one symbol. To log into LWS 1 Start your web browser, and go to https://licensing.adobe.com. 2 Select the appropriate User Type: License Holder If you’re an AOO customer. Channel Partner/Internal Adobe If you’re a channel partner or an internal Adobe employee. Select your region from

the menu that appears. 3 Enter your login ID and password.

Note: If you’ve forgotten your password, click Forgot Your Password? to view your password hint. If you still can’t remember your password, click Resend Login and New Password. LWS e-mails your login and a new password to you. (It may take up to 30 minutes to receive your new password.) 4 If the Change Password screen appears, enter your new password, confirm it by entering it again, and then enter

a password hint. Click Change Password.

LWS tasks About searching in LWS When working in LWS, you frequently encounter screens that contain search parameters. For many such screens, you can simply click Search, without entering any criteria, to find all relevant items. (Required fields on a search screen are noted with an asterisk.) Since many searches generate numerous results, you can enter additional search criteria, either before or after the initial search, to narrow the results.

Performing day-to-day licensing tasks You use LWS to perform day-to-day licensing tasks like retrieving serial numbers, downloading Adobe software, redeeming upgrade coupons, and tracking media and documentation orders. To view order status (channel partner or internal Adobe only)

You can view the status of a previously placed order. 1 Click Order Status on the left side of the screen. 2 Select TLP, CLP, or FLP, depending on your licensing program. 3 Click Search to view all orders, or enter search criteria and then click Search to narrow the results. 4 Click an order number to view its details. To view return status (channel partner or internal Adobe only)

You can view the status of a previously returned order. 1 Click Return Status on the left side of the screen. 2 Select TLP, CLP, or FLP, depending on your licensing program. 3 Click Search to view all returns, or enter search criteria and then click Search to narrow the results. 4 Click a return request number to view its return details. To retrieve serial numbers

You can view the serial numbers for invoiced orders. 1 From the LWS home page, click Retrieve Serial Numbers. 2 Enter your search criteria, and then click Search. 3 Click the order for which you want to view serial numbers. To download Adobe software

Adobe offers Electronic Software Distribution (ESD). Customers can access ESD via LWS. Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) customers can download certain Adobe software for installation. Transactional Licensing Program (TLP) customers can download software too, but only if they’ve ordered an ESD Media SKU in addition to the License SKU. Note: Only the persons designated as Primary Contact and Ship To Contact in your account profile can access ESD. 1 From the LWS home page, click Download Adobe Software via ESD. 2 Follow the on-screen instructions to download software.

To redeem an upgrade coupon

Transactional Licensing Program (TLP) and Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) customers have the option to purchase an Upgrade Plan. The Upgrade Plan covers Adobe desktop products for a specified term, typically two years. If during that time Adobe announces an upgraded version of a product covered by the plan, the customer automatically receives an e-mail from LWS notifying them that their new licenses are available. The e-mail also includes a no-charge coupon for media. In order to receive the media, you must redeem the coupon via LWS within 90 days. Note: The e-mail alert is sent to the Primary Contact specified in your account profile. 1 From the LWS home page, click Redeem Upgrade Coupons. 2 Enter the coupon number, and then click Request Upgrade. To track media/documentation orders

You can track media and documentation orders, such as product CDs, DVDs and User Guides, using LWS. 1 From the LWS home page, click Track Orders for Media/Documentation. 2 Enter the search criteria, then click Search. The Results table appears with order and shipment information. To view CLP agreements

You can view your Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) membership, which includes information such as membership numbers and purchased Upgrade Plans. 1 From the LWS home page, click View CLP Membership. 2 Enter you search criteria in the screen that appears and then click Search. 3 In the contract list that appears, click the appropriate contract number. The Membership Details page appears.

Viewing reports You can view several reports, such as order details and statement of accounts, depending on your user ID and company’s account settings. To view comprehensive order details

You can view details such as end user information, contract number, invoice numbers, etc., for all your orders. 1 On the left side of the LWS home page, click Comprehensive Order Details. 2 Enter the search criteria and then click Search. 3 Click an order to view its details. To view a statement of accounts (channel partner or internal Adobe only) 1 On the left side of the LWS home page, click Statement of Accounts. 2 Enter search criteria and then click Search. 3 Click an order to view its details.

To view an open order report (channel partner or internal Adobe only)

An open order report lists orders not yet invoiced. 1 On the left side of the LWS home page, click Open Order Report. 2 Click Search to view all open orders, or enter search criteria and click Search to narrow the results. 3 Click an order to view its details. To view a return report (channel partner or internal Adobe only)

A return report lists details about license returns. Use it to review return details. 1 On the left side of the LWS home page, click Return Report. 2 Enter an order date range, specify whether you want open or closed returns, and then click Search. Enter other search criteria as desired to narrow the results.

Working with accounts You can search for, edit, and create accounts, as well as update your own profile, depending on your user ID and company’s account settings. To update your account profile

You can update your account profile, including contact information and your password. 1 On the left side of the LWS home page, click Update Account Profile.

Enter the updated information and then click Submit. To edit an existing account (channel partner or internal Adobe only)

You can edit account information, including the Primary Contact information, for an existing account. 1 On the left side of the LWS homepage, click Search Accounts And Edit. 2 Select an account type, enter any other necessary search criteria, and then click Search. 3 Click an account to view its details and then click Change. 4 Enter the updated information and then click Submit. To create an account (channel partner or internal Adobe only) 1 On the left side of the LWS homepage, click Create An Account. 2 Select an account type (either Reseller or End User) and then click Next. 3 Enter the account information (required fields contain an asterisk) and then click Create. To perform account maintenance (channel partner or internal Adobe only) 1 On the LWS homepage, click Account Maintenance. 2 Enter the required search criteria and then click Search. 3 Click the account you want to work with. 4 Perform the desired maintenance and then click Submit.

To view account roll-ups (channel partner or internal Adobe only)

You can view a list of account roll-ups. 1 On the LWS home page, click Account Rollup on the left. 2 Enter the required information and then click Search. To transfer a license (channel partner or internal Adobe only)

All licensing programs except SLP allow transfer of licenses. 1 On the LWS homepage, click Transfer of License. 2 Click Search, or enter criteria to narrow the search and then click Search. 3 Click the Certificate ID number containing the license you want to transfer. 4 Enter the required information (marked with an asterisk) and then click Continue.
