Vanguard system The Vanguard system has been designed to provide a rapidly deployable Perimeter Detection and Surveillance System. The system includes Guardian Sensors that utilize Passive Infra Red (PIR) detection technology to detect an intrusion and to cue two independent camera systems to give a visual indication of the intruder. The system comprises 16 Guardian Sensors and two mast mounted cameras, which communicate with a Base Station comprising a ruggedized Notebook PC over wireless or wired links. The Guardian Sensors transmit alarm data to the Monitoring Position via a VHF link, where it is decoded and used to send a command to the appropriate Camera Station over a digital wireless LAN causing it to pan to the area of the intrusion. Video images from the camera are transmitted over the digital wireless LAN for display at the Monitoring Position. Alternatively, the digital wireless LAN can be replaced by cable (fiber optic for data and a power cable). The position of the camera can also be adjusted manually from the Monitoring Position using the Vanguard Base Station (VBS) PC software application. The VBS software also features a digital map display identifying the location of the Guardian sensors and their alarm status. Normally, during daylight hours the color/IR changeover camera is set to provide video images in color, then as the ambient light levels fall it is switched into IR sensitive monochrome operation. During the hours of darkness it is usual to switch over to the Thermal Imager camera.

Stealthguard system A top of the range specialist covert system designed to be used by bodyguards, patrolling guards or military personnel for ultimate protection in any environment – yet anyone can use it. It’s a power packed system built for fast deployment and expandable protection. What exactly is StealthGuard? The StealthGuard is a specialist version of the market leading AutoGuard Covert Detection System. The system can be easily and quickly deployed from a briefcase or body worn ‘ammunition’ style pouches. It comprises a hand held monitoring unit and eight rugged, palm sized Passive Infra-Red detectors. All pieces can be positioned using universal fixings in virtually any environment. How it works? LED indicators on the monitoring unit pinpoint the exact area of penetration of the covered zones. StealthGuard also delivers an additional audio alarm via a covert earpiece that spontaneously alerts the user to any unauthorized activity. The system can incorporate additional detector heads – up to 64 in fact and the handheld monitoring unit can also control other security systems, Including vibration sensors, smoke alarms, door contacts and personal panic alarms.

Secuscan system Secuscan allows you to monitor the underbody of any vehicle in a fast and precise manner so that no explosives, weapons and/or drugs will find their way onto your premises! The Secuscan makes clear images of the underside of vehicles in moving traffic. It uses Infra red light to avoid influence or ambient light. The images can be analyzed, stored and compared with earlier images of the same vehicle. As the whole process only takes a minute per vehicle, there is a substantional gain in time compared to checking with hand held mirrors. This avoids queues and incomplete checks at busy entrances. To simplify the process of the security check, the Secuscan system can be linked to a License Plate Recognition system (LPR). The front of the vehicle and the license plate number will be displayed in the operator’s screen. Al the recorded images and data will be saved under the vehicle’s license plate number. This has several advantages: The operator can retrieve any image quickly, and can also make an automatic comparison between the current image and an image which has been made during a previous scan of the vehicle. The Secuscan offers a wide field of applications: • Airports, Millitary institutions, Embassies, (Nuclear) power plants or other high risk locations • Border controls • Security check during high risk events • Mobile vehicle inspections by police

Flir thermal camera’s FLIR Systems offers night vision, thermal infra red camera systems for virtually every security application. Thermal imaging offers advantages over low light and daylight cameras in applications where lighting is impossible, too expensive or long range performance is required. Flir thermal camera’s use the thermal radiation which every mass or body emits continuously. There is no need for ambient light, the system delivers the same image during daylight and under no-light conditions at nighttime. The human body as well as vehicles tend to radiate heat and are therefore easily detectable with the thermal camera system. For border security, port security, and critical infrastructure applications, thermal imaging has proven vital to threat detection initiatives. Even with the best daylight or lowlight cameras, there are many contrast starved situations where a thermal imager outperforms all other sensors. Because of the wavelength of the thermal radiation, fog and rain has almost no influence on the performance, the thermal camera can easily see through it, again outperforming visible light camera’s. This makes them also very suitable for long-range detection.
