2015 Medtronic TC 1 Mile champion Heather Kampf, a member of the Twin Cities In Motion-supported Team USA Minnesota program, attended Rosemount High School where her prep career included Minnesota Class AA state titles in the 400-meters and 800-meters. At the University of Minnesota, she became the most decorated Gopher women's track and field athlete in history as a nine-time All-American and an NCAA champion at 800-meters. Kampf is a three-time USA 1 Mile Road champion.

Findley received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2013, and went on to set her 1500m personal best during the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships that summer. Findley recently moved from Austin, Texas to Portland to join the High Performance West training group.

After college, Blood ran professionally with Nike for two years, coached women’s crosscountry and track and field at Columbia University, and worked for ElliptiGo before returning to Nike headquarters as a Running Team Lead. She currently trains with High Performance West in Portland, Oregon and has recently returned to competition.

Peyton attended the University of Iowa, where she was a four-time All-American, a two-time Big Ten Champion and set the school record for 1500m in 4:17.41. She joined Team USA Minnesota in 2008 and has twice competed in the US Olympic Marathon Trials, in 2012 and 2016. Peyton is the Head Men’s and Women's’ Cross Country and Assistant Track Coach at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. This is her seventh appearance at the Medtronic TC 1 Mile.

Hudgins has been diagnosed with granulomatosis with polyangiitis, an autoimmune disease that affects the blood vessels and only 10-20 people per million have. On August 7, 2015, he became the 448th American to break four minutes in the mile, running a 3:59.67 to place 5th at the Sir Walter Miler meet in Raleigh.

Simbassa, originally from Ethiopia, moved to the United States when he was 13 and became an American citizen. While in college, he finished third at the indoor 3000m and 5000m, fifth at the outdoor 10,000m and second at the Big 12 Cross Country Championships. The All-American’s best time in 8k cross country was 23:22. Simbassa is a member of Twin Cities in Motion-supported Team USA Minnesota.
