WIP FIPP Board of Examination Announces Budapest Class of 2013

The WIP FIPP Board of Examination is committed to the certification of qualified physicians in the field of pain medicine who perform interventional techniques. Since 2001, 810 physicians representing 50 countries have been certified FIPP. The objectives of the certification program are to establish the knowledge and skills domain of the practice of pain medicine; assess the knowledge and application of interventional techniques of pain medicine physicians in a psychometrically valid manner; encourage professional growth in the practice of interventional techniques; formally recognize individuals who meet the requirements set forth by the WIP FIPP Board of Examination; and serve the public by encouraging quality patient care in the practice of pain medicine. WIP is an international, nonprofit organization founded in 1993 that brings together the most recognized experts in the field of pain medicine for the advancement and standardization of interventional pain practice. WIP achieves its purposes and objectives through organizing physicianoriented educational symposia, practical workshops, and World Congresses; certifying physicians as Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP); publishing the scholarly journal, Pain Practice; and establishing liaisons with physicians and industry to promote the specialty of pain medicine.
