Fragrant with summer fruit aromas, fresh and lively on the palate, dry, crisp and easy to drink. NYETIMBER Demi-Sec Sussex, England NV £55 A delicious representation of an off-dry sparkling wine, aromas of apple and citrus with toasty notes are conveyed onto the palate with an impressive richness. Delicious! NYETIMBER Blanc des Blancs Sussex, England 2009 £60 Aromas of nectarine, bergamot and sourdough lead onto a balanced palate, with scant evidence of the slightly grassy notes that one sometimes associates with English sparklers. Extended ageing has added a pleasing biscuit complexity and the finish is both refreshing and powerful. DEUTZ Brut Classic NV £65 The elegant fruit characteristics on the nose include peach, apricot and lemon zest, whilst the palate is full of biscuit and honey which, when combined with the exceptionally fine mousse, gives the wine great balance and poise POL ROGER Brut Reserve “White Foil” NV £70 On the nose, white flowers, green apple, brioche and a trace of minerality dominate the champagne. On the palate there are notes of stone fruits, a certain nuttiness and a hint of honey supporting the freshness of the acidity. Mineral notes prevail throughout and add drive and focus - intense and rather fine. CORTON-CHARLEMAGNE Grand Cru Bonneau du Martray 2011 Burgundy £130 Wonderfully golden in colour. On the palate, the balance, roundness and power is overwhelming with notes of almonds and grilled fennel coming to the fore. The length and balance of this wine, reveals why this is a Grand Cru. BEAUJOLAIS BLANC Clos De Rochebonne, Chateau Thrivin 2013/14 Beaujolais £44 This cuvée comes to the fore after a year in the bottle, with a bouquet of blossom and stone fruit, including apricot and Mirabelle plums. On the palate, the freshness of the wine underpins suppleness from cask maturing, finishing on a really round mouthfeel. CONDRIEU Tardieu- Laurent 2014 Rhone £90 Shimmering gold in colour, it is immediately attractive, presenting full-blown, classic Viognier, with sweet notes of preserved peach and nectarine on the nose. Beautifully rounded, with no hard edges, this is opulent, without any heaviness - very fine and focused throughout, with a long poised finish. CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE Domaines Brunier 2013 Rhone £75 Honeysuckle and acacia on the nose with a concentrated palette of peaches and apricots with honeyed acidity and a touch of spice; this is a beautifully rich spicy wine. CHARDONNAY Chateau Saint-Roch 2015 Limoux £29 This historic 17th century family owned Chateau produces top quality Chardonnay from select vineyards at the foothills of the Pyrenees. The wine is aged for 8 months in the best quality new French oak barrels. Rich buttery, nutty flavours balance beautifully with crisp notes of apple, ripe peach and citrus. VERMENTINO Domaine St. Hilaire 2014 Languedoc £26 Vermentino is a little-known variety that produces a pale green, floral, soft and mouth-filling dry white. Deliciously crisp and with a clean refreshing fruitiness. This wine is from old vines so also has great character & surprising complexity. GROS MANSENG Herri Mina Jean-Claude Berrouet 2014 Irouleguy £38 A lively combination of fruit and striking minerality from this Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, and Petit Courbu blend. Pale yellow gold in colour, with a decadent fresh, steely nose, bright and vibrant with lemon, gooseberry, star-fruit and lychee to the fore.

Full, flavoursome yet well balanced. RIOJA Muga Blanco 2014 Rioja, Spain £36 With notes of green cut hay and citrus, pineapple and apple to the fore. The fresh fruit and peaches follow with the typical white Rioja spices of the oak to finish. ALBARINO VEIGADARES Adegas Galegas 2012 Rias Baixas, Spain £46 About as good as Albarino gets & recently voted the top Albarino in the UK. Spicy peach notes and floral aromas make this wine distinctive. With a lovely body weight and full, tropical palate (V)

Light yet intensely fruity in style with great minerality. GRUNER VELTLINER Loimer 2013 Kamptal , Austria £45 Juicy apple, pear and citrus aromas with floral notes; typical peppery veltliner spice. A robust fruit core and firm mineral structure yield a balanced wine with good finesse. FURMINT Royal Tokaji The Oddity 2013 Tokaj, Hungary £38 The Oddity is a crisp wine with a lovely acidity. It is complex, elegant and balanced, exhibiting plenty of fruit on the nose and palate. Fabulous food wine! GAVI DI GAVI Fratelli Levis 2015 Piedmont, Italy £34 Ripe pear and white flowers dominate in this pretty & elegant Gavi di Gavi. This is a beautifully refreshing wine with pleasing weight and a delicate, mineral finish.(V) VERNACCHIA di San Gimignano, Castello di Montaut 2012 Tuscany, Italy £29 Honeyed tropical fruit, full of lime and citrus fruits with a rich medium weight on the palate. Beautiful crisp acidity gives a fresh dry finish. PINOT GRIGIO St Michael Eppan 2014 Tyrol, Italy £45 Excellent acidity, balance & structure. Loaded with intense apple and pear fruit, and oodles of thirst quenching acidity. FIANO Zensa 2014 Salento. Italy £25 Deliciously crisp with green apple and grapefruit character. A little lees aging helps add subtle weight to the palate bringing about more tropical flavours of mango and peach. A lovely mineral note accompanies before finishing dry. Organic.

The Americas CHARDONNAY Feather Falls 2014 California, USA £18 Deep golden in colour with apple-pear nuances on the nose. Crisp in the mouth, this wine shows flavors of peaches & apricots on the palate with a hint of vanilla oak and acidity. SAUVIGNON BLANC Casa del Bosque 2015 Casablanca, Chile £29 On the nose intense notes of key lime, cucumber and sea salt dominate with just a hint of smoke. In the mouth, bright flavours of ginger, citrus zest and white pepper give way to a tight mineral backbone and fresh acidity.

South Africa CHENIN BLANC Jordan Vineyards 2013 Stellenbosch £34 Layers of rich tropical fruit and creamy citrus flavours, interlaced with a spicy, white peppercorn complexity from barrelfermentation create a well-balanced wine with a natural fruity acidity. CHARDONNAY Paul Cluver 2014 Elgin £42 The flavours are complex and show a well-integrated combination of ripe fruit and nuances of oak. As you sip, the flavours are long and lingering. The Ladoix is simply the best we have tasted, exhibiting a concentrated, rich cherry-scented personality. MONTHELIE Le Clos Gauthey 1er CRU 2010/11 Burgundy Very sexy nose. Barnyard, silage… all of the classic and often elusive aromas that define top class aged burgundy. Following through on the palate with well-integrated fruit and oak.

GRAVES DE VAYRES Chateau La Fleur des Graves 2012 Bordeaux £34 La Fleur des Graves is the top cuvee of the property. Spicy and fruity aromas on the nose and palate. The tannins are velvety, mature and with floral notes. A beautiful and well-balanced wine. ST. EMILION Chateau Bèard La Chapelle 2012 Bordeaux £59 Silky smooth with rich, ripe aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant and dark chocolate balanced by a vibrant freshness that gives finesse and elegance. POMEROL Chateau La Grave 2004 Bordeaux £88 From the Christian Moueix stable of Chateau Petrus, this offers exceptional value at a fraction of the price. Abundant aromas of sweet cherries, balsam wood, and herbs with a lovely texture. MARGAUX Chateau Siran 2007 Bordeaux £95 Bursting with rich blackcurrant and blackberry fruit with minty cedar wood notes & a hint of cherry. Full bodied, beautiful dark colour, good structure & elegant fruitiness balanced by softening tannins & good acidity. COTE ROTIE Ampodium Domaine Rene Rostaing 2010 Rhone £110 Richly and textured with violet, rose, red and black fruit, vibrantly fruity through to a long, poised, and perfumed finish. My tasting book just has a bold - YUM - that rather understates the impact of this thoroughbred.

Italy & Austria ZWEIGELT Sonnhof 2012 Kamptal, Austria £34 This Zweigelt is youthful, clear and concise, with typical varietal aromas of sweet and sour cherries and refined fruit flavors. A lively red wine full of suspense, silky, soft and charming. Best serve slightly chilled. PRIMITIVO Zensa Organic 2015 Salento, Italy £29 Rich and sumptuous; the wine undergoes ‘appassimento’ where the organic grapes are air dried for several weeks to increase intensity of flavour before being pressed. The result is a wine bursting with bright morello cherry and deep blackcurrant flavours. Subtle, sweet spice and vanilla leads to a very satisfying finish. VALPOLICELLA SUPERIORE Zenato 2012 Veneto, Italy £40 Dry and robust with an excellent velvety texture. Wild berries, currant, black cherry and spice with just a hint of Chocolate on the finish. BAROLO Paesi Tuoi 2010 Piedmont, Italy £60 Aromatic with tones of cinnamon and berry, medium to full bodied, elegant tannins and a lovely fresh fruit berry finish. CHIANTI Classico Riserva Castello di Monna Lisa Vignamaggio 2010 Tuscany, Italy £72 Gianni Nunziante, owner of Villa Vignamaggio, firmly believes that Monna Lisa (of Leonardo Da Vinci fame) was born at the property, so what other name could he then possibly give his top-end wine? Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, this smooth and silky, concentrated red simply oozes class and elegance. (v)

Spain & Portugal TEMPRANILLO Mas Oliveras Bodegas Roqueta 2014 Catalunya, Spain A soft and approachable Tempranillo from the historic, family-run Bodegas Roqueta in the Catalunyan Pyrenees. Intense and scented with supple, ripe strawberry and liquorice notes.

Medium bodied with smooth tannins and well balanced acidity. Delicious & very food friendly. PRADO REY ROBLE Bodegas Ventosilla 2014 Ribera Del Duero £37 A succulent and velvety Tempranillo crammed full of blackberry fruitiness. Plums and spice burst from the glass with hints of liquorice and a lovely burst of acidity on the finish. QUINTA DO VALE DONA MARIA 2012 Douro, Portugal £60 The nose combines an array of red and black berry fruit, black cherries, violets and warm plum compote. The palate mirrors these ripe, sweet aromatics with additional spice, pepper and raspberry refreshment. RIOJA Belezos Reserva 2008/9 Rioja Alavesa, Spain £76 This elegant Rioja Reserva comes from a small family winery in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region. Rich, savory notes of leather and tobacco, dark fruit, finishing with a touch of vanilla. This wine is elegant and ripe with firm round tannins and a long finish. (V)

QUIMERA Achaval Ferrer 2012 Mendoza, Argentina £68 Presenting a ripe red and black fruit on the nose with a sweet, exotic and peppery vitality. It tantalises and plays with the taster. Indubitably powerful, it is nonetheless supremely elegant.

New Zealand & Australia SHIRAZ VIOGNIER The Lane 2013 Adelaide Hills, Australia £36 Tiny winery, cool climate (for Oz). Nicely crafted Cote Rotie copy, lifted by the Viognier, which moderates the Shiraz sappiness. Ripe, warm, velvety textured with damson, cherry and a hint of vanilla. (V) MERLOT ‘Conductor’ Phillip Shaw 2012 Orange, NSW, Australia £42 Cool climate Merlot with elegant plum & damson fruit flavours; deep coloured & barrel aged for depth and complexity.
