The Centre Vinicole growers supply grapes from 2,200 hectares of vines, including more than 450 located in plots that are classed Premier and Grand Cru. The vineyard covers 13 of the 17 Grands Crus in the Champagne area, 33 of the 42 Premiers Crus and 190 of the 321 other crus in the appellation. The Cellar Master and his team of oenologists therefore have an incredibly rich aromatic palette at their disposal.

The Oldest Wine House in Champagne In 1584 Pierre Gosset, alderman of Aÿ and wine-grower, made still, mostly red, wines from the grapes he harvested from his own vines. In those days, Burgundy & Champagne vied for pride of place at the table of the Kings of France. The reputation of the wine of Aÿ was such that François the First had his own winery built there, which is now owned by Champagne Gosset. Then, in the 18th century the wine made in and around Aÿ began to bubble, and the Gosset family turned naturally to the production of champagne.

Lindauer the country’s most popular sparkling wine brand started life as a bold statement about the quality of wine that can be created in New Zealand’s cool-climate. Our story begins with our Roman ancestors who perfected the ancient art of blending wine with Mediterranean herbs. Amongst the twisted vines of our ancestry, were the families - de Marisco, who in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries habited (in part) the island of Lundy off the south-west coast of England. The family, form their stronghold on the island, maintained a tempestuous relationship with the monarchy - at times receiving royal favour, and yet ultimately - for the activities of piracy and treason, incurring the full and tragic vehemence of the King’s displeasure. These days, the descendant Marris family have achieved acclaim for their success in the pursuit of making fine wines, being amongst the pioneering winemaking families of the world renowned Marlborough wine region.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton Road and the Southern Cromwell Basin. The brand started in 1998 with a very small production of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which went on to win gold medals at major New Zealand wine shows. A new state of the art winery was commissioned in 2001 to produce handmade Pinot Noir, along with separate facilities for other varieties such as a specific barrel hall for Chardonnay.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton Road and the Southern Cromwell Basin. The brand started in 1998 with a very small production of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which went on to win gold medals at major New Zealand wine shows. A new state of the art winery was commissioned in 2001 to produce handmade Pinot Noir, along with separate facilities for other varieties such as a specific barrel hall for Chardonnay.
