Morriss and M. Heise) that: 1) examines the patterns of adoption of uniform laws over time, using empirical techniques to look for explanations for the rate of adoption of different laws; and 2) compares the patterns of adoption of uniform laws with a separate collection of common-law changes to determine whether adoption patterns reveal differences in legal culture across states.
