1. Call to Order Vasko called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M. 2. Roll Call – Establishment of a Quorum Commissioners Present: Sandy Vasko; Chairwoman Daniel Seggebruch; Vice-Chairman Matt Galik John Kiefner William McCollum Judy Panozzo Commissioners Absent: Catherine Boo Ann Marie Manning-Nagel; Secretary Kirsten Steeves Staff: Curt Paddock; Will County Land Use Department Janine Wilkosz; Will County Land Use Department Colleen Novander; Forest Preserve District of Will County Phil Mock; Will County State’s Attorney’s Office

4. Approval of November 2, 2016 Minutes McCollum moved that the minutes be approved as presented. Seggebruch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. 5. Public Comments No Public Comments. 6. Chairman’s Report Vasko welcomed the newest member of the Commission, John Kiefner. Vasko congratulated the Commission on what she termed as the “Commission’s best year yet.” She was pleased that applicants are now coming to the Commission to nominate sites as landmarks instead of the Commission soliciting nominations. Vasko spoke with former Chairwoman Virginia Ferry and relayed her message of “Merry Christmas.” Vasko has heard that the Manhattan Township Park District may be replacing the siding on the residence that was slated for a controlled burn on the Round Barn property. 7. Staff’s Report A moment of silence was held to remember all those lives lost and affected by the attacks on Pearl Harbor which occurred 75 years ago. Wilkosz briefed the Commission on the CLG FY17 grant for the Rural Historic Structural Surveys for Washington and Monee Townships. A RFP has been released and the BID closing is on 12/20. The applications are due to IHPA by 1/31/2017. Wilkosz will confirm early the week of 12/12 if the County Board proclamation to John Lamb will occur on 12/15. She will notify the Commission.

McCollum moved that the agenda be approved as presented. Seggebruch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

Wilkosz informed the Commission that the City Administrator for Wilmington has taken a position in Wisconsin. Wilkosz and the Commission have forged a successful partnership with Wilmington and hope to continue it with the new interim administrator. 8. Old Business

9. New Business a. Election of Officers: Vice-Chair and Secretary  Galik recommended the nomination of current Vice-Chair Seggebruch to continue as Vice-Chair for the year 2017. Panozzo seconded and the motion passed unanimously.  Panozzo recommended the nomination of current Secretary ManningNagel to continue as Secretary for the year 2017. Seggebruch seconded and the motion passed unanimously. 10. Commissioner Discussion Vasko reported that all Arcadia books will be on sale at the Will County Historical Society this Saturday and Sunday. 11. Announcements The Illinois Association of Historic Preservation Commissions will hold its annual meeting at the Joliet Area Historical Museum on Saturday, December 10, starting at 10:00am. Wilkosz encouraged the Commissioners to attend. 12. Adjournment

Panozzo moved that the meeting be adjourned at 6:23pm. Galik seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The next meeting will be January 4, 2017.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS Staff Report for February 1, 2017 Plainfield HPC/Anthony Rubano, IHPA - Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7:00pm - Plainfield Village Hall, Community Room A - Anthony Rubano, Project Designer with IHPA, will be discussing the design review process for Federal tax credit projects. Canal Alliance Congress - Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 9am-4:30pm (doors open at 8:15am) - Four Rivers Environmental Education Center, 25055 S Walnut Ln, Channahon, IL 60410 - http://canalcor.org/canal-alliance-congress/ - If you would like to attend, please notify Janine who will register you with the County credit card. Grand Army of the Republic Tour, Aurora - Saturday, April 29, 2017? (Last Saturdays of the month are when the reenactors are there). - When we confirm the date, Kane County and Aurora HPC's will be invited. CAMP Training - IHPA announced that there are some extra CLG grant funds available for Commissions to do CAMP training, like we had in 2015. - Plainfield HPC is taking lead and has invited us and Joliet to co-sponsor an event in Plainfield. We would capture the northwest suburbs and western Counties (Kane, Oswego, Aurora, etc.). - No dates are proposed yet, but the application is due at the end of February. Would anyone be interested in attending? Old City Hall, Wilmington Public Hearing - Wilmington passed the Intergovernmental Agreement on January 17, 2017. We will hold the public hearing at our March meeting.
