This is what you do: Step 1: Show your child the following pictures OR your own pictures from the past. Tell your child to be a “history detective” and use the picture clues to try to figure out some information about what is happening in the picture. Each person needs to write down their own answers to the following questions: • When do you think the picture was taken? Year? Season? How do you know? • What can we figure out about the people? Why do you think that? • Why were these people in Eagle County? Why do you think that? • What can we figure out about the area at that time? Why do you think that? Compare answers. • Are there any differences of opinion? • Are there any details in the photos that you can use as evidence for everyone to come to agreement?
