News & Views Where Are We Going?

Pastor Richie and the Leadership Team are presently engaging in a study of and discussion of who we are as a church and who we believe God wants us to be today and to become tomorrow. This process involves some personal reflection on where we are coming from as well as where we believe we are going.
In the very near future Pastor Richie and the Leadership Team will be soliciting input from interested members of the congregation to help in this process. I encourage you to participate when you have an opportunity since your perspective and knowledge will help us have a more complete picture of who we are. It is also important for our future that the vision casting and planning process includes your thoughts and concerns so that the course that is set before us has shared ownership. Of course, the future of our church is ultimately in the hands of God! As Solomon declared in the Proverb I quoted at the beginning of this article “we make plans” but, thankfully, “God directs our course”!
It is good for us to occasionally take some time reflecting on who we are and where we’ve been. It is also important that we are prayerfully intentional about moving forward, seeking the Lord’s will for our future as a church. God has given us all that we have and are in our past, He is taking care of our present, and He has a purpose and a plan for our future. He’s not done with Christ Community Church. He’s got wonderful plans for how He will continue to use us as He builds His kingdom. Together let’s join in prayer and seek God’s will for where we’re going, both individually and collectively. For all that has been we say “Thanks”, for all that is we say “Yes” and for all that will be we say “AMEN” His and yours,

We will once again be buying flowers to decorate the sanctuary on Easter Sunday. You will have an opportunity to donate a plant in honor or in memory of a loved one. There is a sign up sheet in the foyer. There is also a box on the table for your donations. Checks can be made out to Christ Community Church. Please denote in the memo area “Easter Flowers”. A suggested donation is $10 for each flower.

We are learning “MORE ABOUT JESUS” on Wednesday evenings and we’d love to have you join us! Each Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 PM we’re gathering in Pastor Dave’s office here at church to continue our discussion and study of the Gospel of Luke. The study is focused primarily on adults, but if you’re looking for a place to grow up in your faith and want to join with us, we wouldn’t turn you away for being either too young or too old. After all, everybody needs to learn all they can about Jesus. Here’s our projected March schedule:

Where: Pastor Dave’s Office Pastor Dave is teaching a SS. Class for the teens (kids in 6th grade through 12th grade) In March (6th, 13th, & 20th)
we’ll talk about what it means to be a part of the church and then we’ll focus on some Biblical heroes who are good mentors and role models for us… March 27th is EASTER and we won’t have Sunday School that day.
