What Expedia Traveler Preference Means for You

Transitioning to Expedia Traveler Preference Expedia Quick Connect via the AmericInn CRS powered by InnLink now supports the Expedia Traveler Preference program. Your Expedia Market Manager will be reaching out to you to transition your hotel to the program. Transitioning your hotel is simple and straightforward, and rollout of the changes will be coordinated with you and the AmericInn CRS. Rates and Availability Management With Expedia Traveler Preference, you retain responsibility for managing your rates and availability. You will access these through the AmericInn CRS as you do today and the process of managing them will remain the same. Within the Expedia system, Hotel Collect rate plans will be prefixed with the letter ‘A’ to distinguish them from Expedia Collect rate plans. Within the AmericInn CRS, Hotel Collect rate codes will be distinguished as EQBHC, EQCHC, and EQFHC and Expedia Collect rate codes will be distinguished as EQB, EQC, and EQP. Managing Bookings Reservations will be sent to either an Expedia Collect rate plan or a Hotel Collect rate plan depending on the customer’s decision at time of booking. For Hotel Collect bookings you must collect payment from the customer at your hotel. Managing the Payments Process The payment process for Expedia Collect bookings will remain as it is today and you will either invoice Expedia using ExpediaPay or charge the Expedia® Virtual Card. For Hotel Collect bookings you need to pay Expedia compensation. The most convenient way to pay is by direct debit. However, you can opt to pay by credit card, cheque or bank transfer if you prefer. In the Event of a System Outage In the rare event of a system outage you will manage your rates, availability and bookings in the Hotel Extranet. In the Hotel Extranet you can: • Update your rates • Update your room availability • Increase your additional rooms when you have availability • Set criteria for specific rates, such as minimum stay requirements • View and confirm Expedia Collect bookings
