Track & Trace An underestimated, yet major cost to business is vehicles or equipment being used for personal use outside of business hours. The fuel costs are obvious and the wear and tear on the equipment itself will shorten the operational life span for your business. Strike tracking enables you the ability to monitor your vehicles activity and be alerted when they are operating after hours and costing you money. The reporting functionality itself is very user-friendly and will be a great cost saving addition to your business.

GEO Zones A great tool within the Strike Tracking system is the ability to set Geo Zones. Geo Zones allow you to set alerts up in your system which automatically inform you once your equipment enters a restricted zone. There might be a well-renowned drinking spot you want to monitor, this is what Geo Zoning will allow you to achieve.

GEO Corridors An extension of the Geo – Zoning which can save your business a significant amount of money, is Geo Corridors. Geo Corridors allow you to setup specific routes in your Strike Tracking system to ensure that your vehicles follow the pre-determined and economical route when operating on a regular route, again ensuring ultimate efficiency within your fleet.

CASE STUDIES

Benefits of Strike Tracking I. IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY Example. One of the major benefits of the implementation of Strike Tracking systems to our customers has been in reducing travel time and costs to a business, through using the tracking and navigation functionality which provides greater business insight. For one of our customers, getting staff quickly to new sales opportunities was a high priority. Before Strike Tracking their sales team could have wasted up to 30 minutes trying to find a location, when in that time they could have sold a $12,000 piece of equipment. Another customer has said that the 10 - 12 people in their office use the Strike Tracking system in a variety of ways. They are: - Managers of the electrical and plumbing teams use live mapping feature as a visual tool. - Customer service team use it for job routing and telling customers exactly where technicians are located - Payroll staffs check job start and finish times with the ‘Vehicle Detail’ reports.

Benefits of Strike Tracking II. COST SAVINGS Example. One Strike customer knew some employees were using their trucks outside of work hours but couldn't prove it. They used the Strike Tracking software to create a rule that if any vehicle was powered on after working hours, it would enter a log in the system. Since installing Strike Tracking private usage reduced dramatically, as was highlighted by lower fuel costs and less vehicle wear and tear. Another benefit of the Strike Tracking solution has been greater visibility into the fleet through real time access to information and accurate reporting. For example, a mining fleet customer has pre-set rules established to allow each driver 15 minutes of idling time - if drivers idle for more than 15 minutes they are shown the report with their idling instances.

Benefits of Strike Tracking III. IMPROVE SAFETY Example. From an occupational health and safety perspective, the Strike Tracking solution has helped educate drivers on their driving behaviour. Transport companies use over-speed reports as an education tool in driver training to highlight dangerous patterns as well as a ‘replay a day’ report which shows exactly where their vehicles go; from the time it is picked up to the time is back to home base. This particular feature is ideal for reviewing any issues that have occurred on any given day, particularly anything that arises outside of general business hours. In addition, transport companies and larger fleets alike use a ‘stationary alert’, which sends an email to head office if a driver is onsite for more than one hour, which helps to better manage productivity and reduce overtime.
