Introduction We are delighted to be given this opportunity to engage with you to help shape your system through transformation. It is recognised that to truly realise the changes required by the NHS to meet the triple aim of The Five Year Forward View, quality, finance & health inequality gap, we need to enable systems to integrate and be more efficient & effective by having “one workforce conversation” in a joined up way.

Experienced Leaders As experienced leaders you all have exceptional skills to hand, however, we realise that the changing architecture will require different skill sets. Our intention therefore is to work with you to develop these within your STP groups to enable successful outcomes. Contained within this development opportunity you will be able to access a variety of development interventions. Our offer is designed to accommodate differing learning approaches through our collaboration with NHS National Leadership Academy and our highly skilled expert partners.

Our offer has been co-designed with the STP leads, with the sole intention to ensure that the midlands STPs have a competitive edge to enable them to truly become national leaders in workforce transformation, to deliver services that our healthcare population really need and value.

Midlands STP Development Opportunities

Executive Coaching and Mentoring Coaching in the Moment This is an on-demand service that is available to STP Leads and 3 nominated representatives from each STP area. The coaching “in The moment” service will give STP leads and their nominated staff the rare opportunity to take ‘time out’ and rise above the inevitable day-to-day “firefighting” distractions. Each individual on the programme will be given a unique member number that they can ring at any time and a scheduled phone coaching session will be arranged within 24 hours. To access click here Executive Coaching and Mentoring Each STP lead can access an external experienced and qualified coach. Executive coaching creates a climate of support and gives participants the opportunity to move though their challenges and find sustainable solutions. It is acknowledged that once senior managers reach a certain stage in their career then formal training courses seem to have less impact and the personalised support gained through a coaching relationship is of more value. We have also created a pool of senior staff in large private sector organisations who are keen to ‘buddy’ and mentor health and social staff working in STPs.
