On May 2, 2015, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida will present its annual Hearts of Gold concert event like it’s never been seen before. Backed by the Orlando Pops Orchestra, the soaring vocals of Fernando Varela and Sisaudra Lewis will leave guests breathless. Fernando, a critically acclaimed tenor, has performed globally in 31 countries alongside performers ranging from Barbra Streisand to Kelly Clarkson and Lionel Richie to Keith Urban. Television viewers will recognize him from appearances as a finalist on America’s Got Talent with his group Forte. Not to be upstaged, Sisaundra will bring her immense talents to Hearts of Gold as a veteran of international tours with Peabo Bryson and performances with Gloria Estefan and Patti LaBelle. As a former backing vocalist and vocal director for Céline Dion, it’s no surprise that Sisaundra wowed both audiences and celebrity judges when she stepped into the national spotlight as a finalist on The Voice last year. Other special guests will join Fernando and Sisaundra in this whirlwind showcase of classic and contemporary hits. With this year’s event returning to Hard Rock Live at Universal Orlando, the evening begins at 6pm and will include a reception featuring complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, and raffle, followed by the concert. In addition, Presenting, Corporate, and Community level sponsors will have access to an exclusive meet and greet with the featured performers. Over the years, corporate partners and supporters have raised thousands of dollars for the Coalition through Hearts of Gold. The funds raised support critical programs and services that directly impact the lives of the most vulnerable in our community. Each and every night, 600 of our neighbors in need – over 150 of them children – call the Coalition “home.” These men, women, and families are provided not only a safe place to sleep and nutritious meals to eat, but with on-site childcare, counseling, job skills training, and educational programs. Most of all, they are given hope that with a little help, tomorrow will be better. Attached you will find event details and sponsorship information. With your participation, we can reduce some of the barriers faced by families as they focus on ending their crisis of homelessness and start rebuilding their lives. I hope you’ll join us.
