About:

Huddersfield Town

“Huddersfield Town were the first team to win the top division three times in a row” “Town currently hold the record for the most unbeaten football league matches, going 43 unbeaten from January 1 to November 19 2011”

F

ormed in 1908, Huddersfield Town has one of the proudest histories of any club in English football. Recognised as one of the most successful English clubs of all time, we were the first to win the English League title three times in a row in 1924, 1925 and 1926. This is a feat that has only been repeated by three other teams; Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool. The Club embarked upon a ‘New Era’ when Dean Hoyle became Chairman in 2009. We are the Yorkshire Club and have formed innovative partnerships with Kirklees College, Thornton + Ross and Umbro to name a few. Our unique collaboration with charity the Yorkshire Air Ambulance has raised over £ 710,000 since its inception in 2009. During the ‘New Era’, Huddersfield Town has been nominated for an impressive nine accolades at the Football League Awards, scooping the titles of ‘Family Club of the Year’ and ‘Best Matchday Programme’ as well as being highly commended in the Marketing and Community categories. A ten point pledge has been outlined by the Board of Directors which underpins the Club’s values. Those pledges are: honesty, integrity, trust, commitment, quality, pride, respect, character, value and success.

landmark deal for the football club took a critical step forward in November 2010 when Town took over the running of an existing rec club on Leeds Road – giving them a permanent, self-sufficient training ground for the first time in its history. In doing so, Town secured community sports at the amenity for many years to come too – benefiting the facility’s existing members as well as the people of Huddersfield in general. Over the next few months and years the Club will make a multimillion pound investment in the facility to transform the amenities into a Premier League standard training complex for the first team and the Academy. Canalside has quickly become a regular location for Huddersfield Town supporters meetings and a popular destination for Town fans on first team match days, with its superb bar facilities and on-site snooker tables and bowling greens always busy. An on-site gym allows fans and the general public to keep fit alongside the array of international footballers present in the first team squad. A year’s full membership allowing entry to the facility costs just £9, with application possible online at the facility’s website (click the button left)
