W sobotę 16 sierpnia w dzień przed festiwalem zapraszamy wszystkich do pomocy w przygotowaniach do festiwalu. Potrzebujemy osób chętnych do ustawiania stoisk, rozstawiania namiotów, krzeseł, stołów. Potrzebujemy wiele rąk do pracy w kuchni przy robieniu gołąbków, obieraniu ziemniaków, ogórków, w przygotowaniach stoiska z plackami ziemniaczanymi. W sobotę także będziemy sprzątać kościół wewnątrz jak również i na zewnątrz. Prace rozpoczynamy o godzinie 9:00 rano.

We need people to help with setting up tents, tables, chairs, booths, etc. We will need many hands to help in the kitchen with potatoes, cucumbers, cabage rolls. Next Sunday, on the day of the Polish Fest, the following streets will be closed: no parking will be permitted on Magnolia Street from 15th Avenue to Buckbee Street and Short Broadway from Seminary Street to Christina Street. The White Eagle and Stadium parking lots on 15th Avenue will be available for parking. You can also use the upper parking lot of Marinelli field on Christina Street. Sacramental Life Sacrament of Baptism Arrangements should be made with the pastor in advance. Parents must be registered parishioners. At least one parent and godparent must be practicing Catholics, and receive sacramental instructions beforehand. Sacrament of Matrimony One of those being married must be a registered parishioner and a practicing Catholic. A six-month preparation period is required by diocesan law. Couples must be at least 19 years of age. Please contact the pastor before setting a date. Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday: 4:00 pm, Sunday: 8:30 & 10:30 am, First Friday: 6:30 am. Healing Masses at St. Stanislaus Next Wednesday we begin healing masses in our church. We will have an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 6:00 pm with the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet at 6:20 pm and Benediction. Mass will begin at 6:30 pm. After Homily there will be individual prayer for healing and after Mass blessing with the relics of John Paul II. Please find below the Church's norms for "healing Masses"? Some people wonder whether the distinction between emotional wounds and spiritual wounds can be blurred or lost during such liturgies. The closest thing to norms regarding "healing Masses" would be the 2000 instruction on "Prayers for Healing," issued by the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith. In this brief yet dense instruction the congregation first explains the reasons for the document: "Prayer for the restoration of health is therefore part of the Church's experience in every age, including our own. What in some ways is new is the proliferation of prayer meetings, at times combined with liturgical celebrations, for the purpose of obtaining healing from God. In many cases, the occurrence of healings has been proclaimed, giving rise to the expectation of the same phenomenon in other such gatherings. In the same context, appeal is sometimes made to a claimed charism of healing. "These prayer meetings for obtaining healing present the question of their proper discernment from a liturgical perspective; this is the particular responsibility of the Church's authorities, who are to watch over and give appropriate norms for the proper functioning of liturgical celebrations. Emotional wounds would not be the direct object of these Masses. But there is no reason to believe that so-called healing services are of no benefit to these sufferers. It has long been said that the vast majority of miracles at the sanctuary of Lourdes are the healing of emotional afflictions. The miracles of conversion, of forgiveness, of inner peace, and of acceptance of adversity in union with Christ's cross, are far more numerous than the relatively few approved physical miracles.

Czym są Msze o uzdrowienie? Msze św. z modlitwą o uzdrowienie (popularnie nazywane - Msze o Uzdrowienie) organizowane w naszej parafii, to spotkania modlitewnoewangelizacyjne w określonej formule. Rozpoczynają się wystawieniem Najświętszego Sakramentu i modlitwą różańcową, potem następuje Koronka do Bożego Miłosierdzia i błogosławieństwo. Potem jest Msza św. w intencji uzdrowienia w trakcie której po homilii prowadzone są modlitwy wstawiennicze. Słowo głoszone jest z mocą, wzywa do nawrócenia. Chodzi o uzdrowienie zarówno fizyczne - z chorób, skutków tych chorób, ale przede wszystkim o uzdrowienie wewnętrzne - dotykające spraw duchowych, ran, które zadaliśmy sobie sami przez własny grzech lub zadanych nam przez innych ludzi. Pan Jezus chce przychodzić i uzdrawiać całego człowieka! Podczas Mszy o Uzdrowienie zazwyczaj spotykamy się z modlitwą wstawienniczą i posługą charyzmatyczną.

Jaki jest przebieg spotkania modlitewnego w św. Stanisławie? Schemat według którego organizujemy Msze w Rockford: 18:00 – Wystawienie Najświętszego Sakramentu, Różaniec, Koronka do Bożego Miosierdzia, błogosławeństwo. 18.30 – Msza św. z modlitwą o uzdrowienie. Po Mszy błogosławieństwo relikwiami Jana Pawła II. Co to jest modlitwa wstawiennicza? Modlitwa wstawiennicza jest wstawianiem się u Pana Boga za naszymi braćmi w wierze. Na wzór przykładu ewangelicznego czterech mężczyzn, którzy przynieśli swojego przyjaciela do Pana Jezusa i spuścili go na noszach przez dach, aby umożliwić mu stawienie się przed Panem. Pan Jezus wówczas "widząc ich wiarę" dokonał uzdrowienia mężczyzny - fizycznego i duchowego (por. Mk 2). Modlimy się wstawienniczo indywidualnie nad poszczególnymi osobami - w intencjach, z którymi przychodzą. Jaki jest cel modlitwy wstawienniczej i dla kogo jest przeznaczona? Modlitwa może mieć różny cel: uwolnienie, uzdrowienie (duchowe, fizyczne lub psychiczne), wylanie Ducha Świętego, prośba o Jego dary (np. umocnienie w wierze), rozeznanie... Z modlitw wstawienniczych mogą korzystać wszyscy, a w szczególności: osoby pogubione duchowo, będąc daleko od Boga, słabe, bez sił i wiary, smutne, czujące pustkę, cierpiących na różne choroby (zwłaszcza te nieuleczalne medycznie), doświadczające niewytłumaczalnych niepowodzeń, różnych udręk, prześladowań duchowych. Do modlitwy wstawienniczej nie przychodzimy po to, aby ktoś za nas załatwił coś u Pana Boga, załatwić jakieś sprawy dla innych. Przychodzimy z pragnieniem odnalezienia Pana Jezusa, zaproszenia Go do swego życia i spotkania się z Jezusem osobiście. Jak przygotować się do modlitwy wstawienniczej? a) być w stanie łaski uświęcającej - uczynić ten pierwszy, konkretny krok ku Panu; w stanie grzechu ciężkiego jesteśmy oddaleni od Pana Boga i niezdolni przyjąć Jego dary; b) na osobistej modlitwie przed modlitwą wstawienniczą zapraszać Pana Jezusa do swego życia i przedstawić mu swoje prośby; c) starać się o wzbudzenie w sobie właściwej intencji: nie można podchodzić z takim nastawieniem, że ja chce otrzymać dar (uzdrowienie, uwolnienie), a Darczyńca mnie nie obchodzi; nie mogę też prosić Boga, bym został uzdrowiony, z założeniem, że nadal będę żył w grzechu; d) cały czas (przed modlitwą wstawienniczą i w czasie jej trwania) starać się o wyciszenie umysłu i emocji, o rozmodlenie, spokój i skupienie na Panu Jezusie

Jak postępować jeśli są trudne do usunięcia przeszkody aby być w stanie łaski uświęcającej? Przywrócenie "łączności" z Bogiem poprzez Sakrament Pojednania (Spowiedź św.), odzyskanie w ten sposób stanu łaski uświęcającej ...i dalsze trwanie w niej - jest zasadniczym zadaniem każdego chrześcijanina. Zatem modlitwa wstawiennicza w takich przypadkach ma na celu wzbudzenie oraz umocnienie postawy gotowości do nawrócenia i przyjęcia Bożego miłosierdzia. Gotowości do podążania za wolą Bożą wyrażoną w przykazaniach Bożych i nauczaniu Kościoła Katolickiego.
