CANADA DAY The Bath Canada Day Committee is proud to announce that we have received a Celebrate Canada Grant from the Federal Government. The flags are flying thanks to the Bath Volunteer Fire Fighters and it’s just a few days until the annual RBC Royal Bank Community BBQ kicks off the celebrations. Circle your calendar for Friday June 27, from 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. and drop by for a delicious hot dog, drink, chips and cake. Canada Day Buttons are now available in Main Street Bath stores along with a paper copy of the schedule of events. Remember your donation for a button helps fund the family fun activities on Canada Day. The full schedule of events is at www.bathcanadaday.ca. Updates are posted regularly so check back often. It is also time to get ready for the Children’s Pet Judging Contest on Sunday June 29th at 12:30 p.m. in Centennial Park and the Children’s Bike/Trike/Scooter/Stroller Decorating Contest on Monday, June 30th at 6:00 p.m. also in Centennial Park.

On Canada Day the Information Booth in Centennial Park will have flags, pins and a special treat for the kids -washable tattoos! Come by and say “Hi” to the volunteers staffing the booth and pick up your souvenirs.

Tennis Court Re-construction

The tennis court re-construction is anticipated to start the end of August and proceed through until Thanksgiving. The asphalt will need to sit until spring – then the lines will painted as soon as weather permits. The tennis courts will open in Spring 2015.

War of 1812 Bicentennial Property

To Enter The Property Decorating Contest Please Email Your Name And Address To [email protected] By 6:00 p.m. On Friday June 27, 2014. Decoration Contest December 2014 will mark the Bicentennial of the end of the War of 1812. As a way to show our patriotic spirit to commorate the end of the 32 month long conflict between us and our American cousins, the BCRC will award the final prizes for the three years of consecative competition to the best dressed residence and business in the Village of Bath. . On Canada Day, the winner of the contest will be presented an etched glass award designed and donated by local Bath artisan C.A. Cavers. The BCRC challenges the community to take up this challenge to show fellow residents and visitors alike how much patriotic spirit our community has.

All Entrys Must Be Ready To Be Judged By 5:00 p.m. On Monday June 30, 2014.

Points Will Be Awarded For The Use Of Red, White And Blue Colour Schemes, Flags, Plants And Other Creative Ways To Show Your Patriotism

Bath Sunday Market The market season has begun and there are a number of new vendors offering something for everyone. The market runs until the Thanksgiving Day weekend. The hours are 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Vendor spaces are $10.00. For vendor information email [email protected]

The Bath Community Revitalization Committee The BCRC is composed of volunteer members of the community that are interested in making Bath a great place to live, visit and do business. All residents of Bath are welcome to participate at the monthly meetings which are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The next meeting will be held at the Bath Fire Hall on Thursday July 17th , 2014 at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome!

Bottle And Coin Drive To Support Bath Public Scool

On Thursday July 3rd between 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., students and parents from Bath P.S. will be cruising the streets in search of returnable bottles, cans and spare change. No pop cans please! Won't you please help us out by saving your returnables? We kindly ask that you leave your items on your front porch or in your driveway to aid in the collection. As an alternative, you are welcome to drop them off in the parking lot at Bath P.S. between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.. We are so thankful for a supportive community and just cannot possibly go door-to-door through the entire village and thank you in advance for leaving your items out to be picked up. On Tuesday August 12th , 2014 The Great Waterfront Trail Adventure returns to Lennox & Addington County. The event starts in Brighton and goes to Cornwall between August 11th – 15th. Please cheer on the cyclist as they arrive at Bath and make them feel welcome.

Volunteers Welcome! A rest stop will be located at Centennial Park at Bath and volunteers are welcome to assit in welcoming the cyclists by providing refreshments. If you are able to assit any time between 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., please let the us know by emailing [email protected]
