THANK YOU to all the KS1 and FS1 parents who kindly donated books, clothes and toys and to all who supported the KS1/FS1 Bring and Buy Sale on Tuesday 24th September. Miss Schofield (FS1 teacher) is proud to tell you that thanks to your generosity a Grand Total of €82 was raised. This will be donated to Dabaso school in Africa towards the purchase of children’s school desks. The pictures below kindly sent by Mr Graham and Mrs Anne Lawrence who liaise closely with our twin school in Africa show the real seats/desks that have been and will be purchased for Dabaso school. The first two pictures show the seats/desks in classrooms and the last picture shows the next batch of seats/desks. They have been made in batches of 50 as this is the most economical way achieve the outcome.
KS2 will be organising another Fund raising activity for this cause shortly. Details to follow.
