In the weekend of 13 and 14 May 2017, the IWSVN is celebrating its 35th anniversary, organizing a Championship Clubshow on Saturday the 13th followed by various activities and workshops the next day. The Championship Clubshow will be judged by Mrs. Judith Carruthers from England (Stanegate). Inexperienced dogs and handlers are very welcome, there will be a lot of support and help! The weekend will be held at the campsite De Waltakke (www.dewaltakke.nl) near Lochem (adress Bolksbeekweg 7, 7241 PH Lochem). We invite you to celebrate the jubilee weekend with us! Explanation of classes: Minor Puppy class:

For dogs of 4 to 6 months on the day of the Club Show.* These dogs are not in competition for the C.A.C.

Puppy class:

For dogs of 6 to 9 months on the day of the Club Show.* These dogs are not in competition for the C.A.C.

Junior class:

For dogs of 9 to 18 months on the day of the Club Show.

Intermediate class:

For dogs of 15 to 24 months on the day of the Club Show.

Open class:

For dogs of 24 months and over on the day of the Club Show.

Breeders class:

Working class:

WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS 14 May 2017 - IWSVN Jubilee Weekend We have a mix in workshops/seminars who are suitable for everybody! It doesn’t matter if your dog is experienced and/or you are a newby. Each workshop/seminar is € 20,00 per dog. All dogs, whatever breed, are very welcome. As it is an IWS event we will give preference to the Irish Water Spaniel. If you want you can participate with two dogs in the same workshop (and of course same time slot). The maximum is about 5 dogs for each workshop. We have available: Workshop 1 (9.30 hr – 12.00 hr) – retrieving/marking Suitable for gundogs who want to work on the marking skills. There will be a set up with Zinger Wingers (see picture) for good and high marks. There is no shooting with this workshop and dummies will be used. Workshop 2 (9.30 hr – 12.00 hr) – mantrailing Mantrailing for beginners. Workshop to learn basics of searching for people. Dogs will get the opportunity to follow some easy tracks. Workshop 3 (9.30 hr – 12.00 hr) – make your own fleece/toy/leash Opportunity to make your own fleece toy (see picture) or leash. This is a workshop you can do without your dog. Price of the workshop is including materials. Workshop 4 (13.30 hr – 16.00 hr) – workingtest gundog work (with dummies) Suitable for gundogs who want to work on double marks and WT exercises. There will be a set up with Zinger Wingers - no shooting! Workshop 5 (13.30 hr – 16.00 hr) – massage During this worskhop you learn the techniques to give your dogs a massage. After the session you are able to discover muscle tone and work towards a balanced dog. In case you are joining the weekend without your own dogs we will have some dogs who for sure wants to do this workshop with you! Workshop 6 (13.30 hr – 15.00 hr) – balance/coordination With all kind of exercises your dogs learns to be aware of his body. This workhop helps to get a good bonding with your dog.
