TRAC is proud to announce the 11th Annual TRAC Community Run/Walk! This year, it will be taking place on Sunday, May 29th, 2016 with a focus on community wellness. In the spirit of that focus, we will host a Wellness Fair and
also promote healthy food options with our nutrition station. The race also offers other fun activities, such as the tethered hot air balloon and a bouncy castle, and promotes local musicians. Over the past few years, the TRAC 10K/5K/3K Run/Walk has become a popular and well-attended event. This year a 1K Walk/Run will be introduced to encourage more participants. Thanks to your support, TRAC is able to promote a stronger, healthier community and we hope that you continue to offer us your support in the future so that we can grow even more! TRAC was built on the concept of a ‘towne within a city’ and promotes community coming together to create environments that are fun, safe and educational for all who attend. Therefore, events such as the TRAC Community Run/Walk would not be possible without the continual support of people like you. We appreciate your assistance in these endeavours and we want you to know that your support has allowed us to make those environments even stronger and long lasting than we could have ever done on our own. TRAC has used funds from this event to help build components of the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre, support various community groups, the TRAC Community Office at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre which serves all of the communities in the Terwillegar/Riverbend/Windermere areas. It is an information hub, supports Brander Gardens ROCKS which is a family outreach program providing all kinds of support to the community, the Edmonton Youth Talent Show (EYTS), Community Wines, and the Southwest Edmonton Farmers’ Market (SWEFM) to name just a few. This year funds will go to programming and infrastructure to support TRAC and all community leagues in Area H (Terwillegar/Riverbend/Windermere). To successfully launch all the ambitious plans we have for our community is no light task, but with your future support, we’ll be able to build upon the foundations of community spirit and make it happen!
