Quality Quality is the key word for Voortman. Voortman only uses proven, quality standard components from globally established suppliers like Bosch Rexroth, Festo, Siemens and Control Techniques. The use of standard components that are readily available ensures the availability and serviceability of your machines.

Maximum utilization When the material is being cleaned at the start of the line, the shotblaster is always optimally utilized so that wear to the machine will be kept to a minimum and giving high productivity.

Automatic Shotblasting The VSB shotblasters are designed for the automatic shot blasting of profiles and plates.

4

Beam and plate processing (Blasting/Sawing)

Saw capacity efficiently utilized Several profiles can be cut simultaneously in a bundle so that the capacity of the saw will be efficiently utilized; this results in considerable time and cost savings.

Automatic material positioning The stop truck is fitted with a liftable stop plate, which rotates up and away from the conveyor pass line after use. A sensor device detects the presence of material and initiates the sawing cycle.

High output The 15kW turbines of the Voortman shot blasters guarantee a high passage speed. The feed of the sawing machine are automatically adjusted to the material thickness to minimize the cutting time. Investment in a Voortman guarantees unmatched productivity.

5

Automatic material handling Several machines can be coupled together by means of automated handling systems. After blasting the plates will be loaded automatically onto the drilling table of the plate processing system and the profiles onto the infeed conveyor of the selected saw.

High speed blasting The heavy-duty turbines guarantee a high passage speed. With the brush and blow-off unit the shot and dust will be removed efficiently.

6

High speed drilling After loading the plate onto the drilling table all the required holes will be drilled automatically. The feed, speed and torque is perfectly suited for using carbide tooling.

Plasma cutting with high definition technology The plasma torch will cut all nested parts automatically. With the oxy-fuel torches several products can be cut simultaneously.

7

Beam and plate processing

(Blasting/Sawing/Drilling/Cutting)

High speed cutting The sophisticated straight and mitre cutting band saws of the VB-range provide extremely short cutting times and are easily to operate.

Maximum productivity The drilling gantry and the cutting gantry of the plate processing system can both run independently. While the cutting gantry is cutting the previous drilled plate, the drilling gantry is already drilling the next plate so you have simultaneous operations. A drilled plate will be loaded onto the cutting table automatically.

Production Data Exporter During the production process all data will be logged in the SQL production database. With the Voortman Production data Exporter (PDE) information can be extracted from the production database to generate typical reports for example: “Tonnage”, “Project overview” and “Operations”. The PDE exports data to a CSV format, which can be imported into Excel for analyzing and editing. These reports supply stock holders and steel service centres very valuable information such as produced tonnages, the amount of cuts and holes, cutting times, drilling times, shot blast and painting square meters, etc. With this readily accessible online data it is much easier to make accurate calculations. Import of the CSV data to the customers ERP/MRP software is also possible. Data from the production database can also be loaded into OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) software to analyze production losses.
