Philosophy Our message to deal with your challenges The need and desire to undergo training and further training are gaining importance for everyone in modern society. The necessity to learn anew, to rethink what has been learnt before and to accept the need for further training has been recognized by all industrialized nations. It affects practically everyone employed in industry, whatever their function(s) or hierarchical level may be. Distinctions are made only by the difference in the subject matter of training, and by the depth or intensity to which the contents of such subject matter are developed. Model illustrations of how to plan the time spent at work overall in a technological industry, which provide for periods of “regular working time” and periods of “training and further training”, may well prove to be realistic in the near future. Realizing the necessity to learn afresh and to continue the process of learning does not immediately lead to the initiation of training programs. Research and development is carried out at a high degree of intensity, but training in new technologies generally commences with a time-lag which is too long.

About KUHN Group Background of the mothercompany The KUHN Group is divided up into three strategic divisions, building machines , loading engineering and machine tools (EMCO). The three divisions are independent of one another both in terms of organizational structures and operations and are managed both in Austria and internationally by separate companies under the umbrella of KUHN Holding. KUHN has foreign subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Poland, Switzerland, and Germany. The group stands for reliable partnership in the construction, transportation, warehousing, and logistics sectors as reflected by the well-known manufacturers for whom KUHN is the general agent in Austria and other European countries. KUHN‘s building machine division has exclusive marketing rights for KOMATSU products in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southern Germany, Switzerland, and Croatia. The same applies with regard to POWERSCREEN and PEGSON screeners and crushers as well as FRD hydraulic hammers. The loading engineering division sells PALFINGER truck cranes and MITSUBISHI forklifts. KUHN has had exclusive marketing rights for PALFINGER cranes since 1986 and has a market share of more than 50% in Austria. It is the general importer of MITSUBISHI forklifts in Austria, Hungary, and Poland. The KUHN Group attaches a great deal of importance to the training of apprentices. KUHN Austria currently has 45 trainees in various technical and commercial professions. On completion of their apprenticeships they will be able to take advantage of a wide range of career opportunities within our corporate group.
