Team or Collaborative Efforts Chair of Oregon Team AgEd – Team Ag Ed is a leadership organization for shaping and strengthening school based agricultural education in Oregon. The team identifies emerging issues and concerns in agricultural education, provides innovative solutions in responding to current and emerging issues, coordinates efforts to strengthen school based programs, and serves as an advocate to Agricultural Science and Technology Programs in Oregon. Oregon Agricultural Education Visioning – coordinated visioning workgroup with Oregon teachers, Department of Education, FFA Alumni, community colleges, and stakeholders to develop a plan for agricultural education in Oregon AG 525 Biotechnology Applications for Teachers – Summer course for high school agriculture and science teachers that collaborated with five faculty members in the College of Science. Math in Career and Technical Education Professional Development and Research Projects – Professional development workshop and research project in conjunction with the College of Education (Michael Dalton) and the College of Science (Larry Enochs). College of Education Licensure Coordinators Committee – collaborated with Oregon State University teacher educators in developing effective programs that align with Teachers Standards and Practices Commission and National Council for Accreditation for Teacher Education. College of Education Accreditation – collaborated with teacher educators in developing effective assessment instruments to assist in collecting data for accreditation of teacher education programs at Oregon State University. Blue Mountain Community College Visioning – worked with BMCC in an effort to develop a vision and collaborative effort for students transitioning from high school, community college, university and careers.

AG 518 Summer Agriculture Institute – collaborated with Oregon Agricultural Education Foundation to deliver a week-long graduate level course that educates K-12 teachers about agriculture. The course involves collaborative efforts with producers, extension specialists, OSU faculty, and business, industry, and agricultural organizations. AG 525 Food Science Innovations for Teachers – Summer course for high school agriculture teachers that collaborated with 12 staff members in the Food Science Department to teacher agriculture teachers the newest innovations in food science and how to enhance their curriculum in food sciences. Oregon Team AgEd – Helped organize and become a team leader in a collaborative effort with the Department of Education, Oregon State University and the Oregon Vocational Agriculture Teachers in an effort to move agricultural education forward in Oregon by organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences for teachers. AED 556 Link Research Teaching and Practice – Team taught classes with Chris Southers (School of Education) to bring in guest speakers addressing current teaching practices and trends. AED 554 Micro-Teaching – Team taught classes with Lee Cole (Agricultural Education) to teach integrating technology in teaching and teaching with experiments. AG 525 Biotechnology in Plant Sciences – Summer course for high school agriculture teachers that collaborated with four staff members in the Department of Microbiology to teach agriculture teachers tissue culturing and microbiology AG 525 Biotechnology in Animal Sciences – Summer course for high school agriculture teachers that collaborated with fourteen staff members in the Department of Animal Sciences and entomology to teach genetics, biotechnology, veterinary science practices, and research in animal sciences. AG 525 Water Quality and Riparian Zones – Summer course for high school agriculture teachers that collaborated with five staff members in the Department of Bioresource Engineering to teach riparian , water quality and AG 525 – AgriScience Teacher Summer Inservice - Summer course for high school agriculture teachers that collaborated with five staff members in Pendleton High School and the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife to teach water quality, riparian zones and AG 518 - Summer workshop for high school agriculture teachers that collaborated with three staff members from Hermiston High School and Blue Mountain Community College to teach Metal Fabrication. Beginning Teacher and Administrator Conferences – Coordinated three conferences for beginning teachers in a collaborative effort with the National FFA Organization, Oregon Department of Education, and the Oregon Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association.
